Destiny: level 49 (7 squared) Comet: level 56 (7 more than 49) Destiny 2: level 77 Comet 2: level 84 (7 more than 77) Destiny 3: level 98 (7 times 14) Comet 3: level 105 (7 more than 98) Destiny 4: level 177 (boom all kinds of new levels and shit)

1 ReplyTo everyone thinking the cap is 20, that is for EACH subclass, so you can play with friends easier as opposed to say WoW, where you couldn't play with you friends if they weren't near their level. After that, you can still rank up other subclasses, and beyond that you get modes of light every time you level up to be used at the tower. Also, I forget which video, but we have already seen someone 33 I believe, I'd imagine 3 subclasses at LEAST so the level cap should be at LEAST 60 with the subclasses, and I'd imagine it would cap around 100 or so but that is just speculation on my part. We will have to wait and see but the answer definitely isn't 50 or less.

3 RepliesTo all the morons that think it's going to be 20.. It's not. They have previously shown screenshots of players levels 20+ (23 and 36 I think they were). I personally think it'll be 50 as that's what Bungie are used to!

If you have ever played Mass Effect 3, I think the levels should be like that. So 50 for campaign and 20 for multiplayer allowing for resetting to re-spec and many classes to keep the gameplay varied.

I just posted this...couldn't find another topic on the mobile app. I'm hoping it's somewhere around 30-40 then increasing to 60-80 via dlc.

I think its going to be at 50 first then with the expansion DLC will most likely be like 75-100 will that's what I hope for lol.

1 ReplyIn the north part of the tower you could interact with the Speaker. All of the Speakers items were rank 20 and required a certain amount of "motes of light". These are earned by continuing to earn xp after rank 20. Although I picked up a couple of these from mobs.

2 RepliesIf the level cap is 20 like most things hint towards, I think it is completely wrong. The reason being is that low of a level cap is only done in the interest of PVP. I hope that loot drops are more prominent and are better quality loot in the full game than they were in the Alpha or this game is going to get boring really quickly.

20, but I wish it was much higher, even if you're just levelling up for nothing, it's crap gaining experience and not actually using it on anything. Any game should have an infinite level cap, even after unlocking everything so that it shows how much the player has played. For e.g. Bungie keep everything so that everything is unlocked at level 20, but you can keep levelling up, so that when you see a level 378 out in the wild, you know that guy has played a lot.

2 RepliesI know it above fifty for sure if you look in the e3 Demo right before they join the public event there is a square with the lvl in it. Just like the one seen over you and other characters. It is next to the titan on the left side of the screen. The titan is 11 and the mystery character is 54 from what it looks to me. Watch it and come back.

5 RepliesOk so just finished the alpha and i gotta say this game is pretty good. But ima be honest there is one thing i would change. If you could do a little more customization to the weapons other than damage and scope this game would be legen wait for it dary. But hey maybe theyre might actually be more when the game releases. I can only hope

14 RepliesBungie has stated that it shouldn't take more than a few hours to reach the level cap, they want players to focus more on the story, and finding new weapons and gear. And seeing as how abilities can still be improved and "leveled up" once the cap is reached, I'm perfectly fine with that.

2 RepliesImo, I think it depends on what bungie is going for, if they really want you too get into the story they should go for a higher level cap it would be fun questing while learning more about the lore, but if they would rather have you doing the fun content instead of questing all the time they should have a low lvl cap, although idk how the leveling system is going to be like I wonder If you'll be able to level without questing & grinding random npc monsters, say you can level by just pvping all day in a game mode.

1 ReplyThere should be two ranks: One for campaign and one for competitive multiplayer. Campaign functions much like how you rank up in Reach, which takes for -blam!-ing ever to reach the last rank. And competitive rank acts just like Halo 3.

4 RepliesI would like a ranking system like Halo 3 again! But if it's just by number levels, then I'd prefer something along the lines of 1-100 or 1-300. If it's like that it would be nice if it took as long as Reach did. It took me a year and eight months to get to inheritor and honestly it would of been nice if it took longer.

Considering we have absolutely no idea how leveling will work, I think it is too early discuss level caps.
