The scientific method requires that in order to establish something as real or fact, we need to test it and verify it with empirical evidence. Two simultaneously believe in religion and yet follow the scientific method, there is obvious contradiction. Religion doesn't meet the criteria of the scientific method, to be validated in any way. From an objective standpoint, no, religion is not compatible with the scientific method.

Good thing science and the scientific method are two independent things. It's like you people didn't even take basic science courses.

I don't think you understand what you're talking about.

The scientific method is what makes something science. Without the scientific method, it's all just a bunch of untested, unverified ideas.
The scientific method is what makes something science.
Quite literally the dumbest thing I've read today. Science is the composition of testable and applicable knowledge. The scientific method just allows you to reach an end point, and is no way synonymous with science itself. That dumb statement alone made you lose what little credibility you had.

And what is science without the scientific method?
