Can someone explain to me why a game review's score is relevant in anyway

I don't understand the obsession with an objective score in a medium that is so subjective. IGN's review of GTA5 notes one of the few objective faults you can have with a game in that the frame rate isn't reliable and then gives it a ten anyways. So what's the point?

  • Because people like to listen to other people, when it is LITERALLY their job to find something wrong with the game and complain about it. That's why I don't listen to movie reviews, game reviews ect ect. Because they try to find things wrong with it, that most people won't notice or care about.
