AMC have announced they are in the initial stages of development on what they're calling a "companion" series to The Walking Dead. Walking Dead's Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are executive producing, with the series aimed to debut in 2015. While The Walking Dead has taken Kirkman's comic book as its inspiration, using most of the same characters (albeit often then veering in its own directions), the new series will be about a different group of survivors. It remains to be seen if we'll meet any of the new characters first on The Walking Dead or if the show will take place in such an entirely different area of the world, that wouldn't be possible. What do you guys think about this?

I'll be honest, when it comes to AMC, all I'm thinking about is Breaking Bad.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Edited by SonOfTheShire: 9/16/2013 5:33:53 PMIf this one's not about the zombies, I don't want to hear about it. Ooh! It could be about a ragtag group of zombies... fighting off a triffid apocalypse! You could call it... ...Zombies versus Plants!

Oh. My. Gosh. This sounds so goddamn amazing! ;D
-
This sounds cool.
-
Isn't Frasier the only spinoff to ever make it? Why do they keep trying? Have producers learned nothing?

Edited by Coin: 9/16/2013 8:34:59 PMHuh... Cool. I'm more interested in Season 4 though. It's gonna be sick now that Andrea is gone.

I'm already bored with Walking Dead, so really I don't care about this. What upsets me is the Breaking Bad offshoot.
-
Make it a sequel to "Better Call Saul" and it'll be an instant hit.
-
This "companion" series is likely going to suck, in all honesty. It seems as though AMC is just trying to milk it some more since Breaking Bad is almost over. Oh, yeah, they are also making a spin-off of BB as well.

I think they should finish the first batch of characters before starting on another thing in the middle of a series like they have autism

Neat?

Booooring
