Why do you believe in god?
I don't because I can't find any proof of this deitys existence.
From life experience, belief in the teachings of Jesus, and my faith in God.

"And it was then that he looked down upon his creations, and spoke; Of worlds they would never see, of ideas they would never have; For they listened only to the stories of the paradise and the inferno. Their self-absorbed punishments and rewards for who they are; Stood over who they could be."

Edited by Progo: 9/19/2013 2:12:37 AMBecause of order. And the universe can't make itself now can it? (physics don't apply to a pre-universe, they only work in this universe, that's why scientists only talk about stuff the moment after the big bang, so believing in chaotic creation takes just as much, if not more faith than believing in a God)

I think people believe in gods or deities because they want or need something to believe in.
-
Because I have to believe in something, so why not?

Edited by TheBrandingIron: 9/14/2013 2:05:33 AMI believe in God. I have a hard time understanding that everything that exists has just been here since the beginning. I no longer trust what any Church leaders or lay people say about Him or His laws, but that is human error.

Edited by Magical Robot: 9/13/2013 9:41:45 AMKind of hard to explain. It's kind of a thin line. I believe in a greater entity, but that does not mean I understand it. There is evidence which suggests a designer of sorts but does not suggest which. I lean towards towards a christain faith but even then I find somethings disturbing like what Richard Dawkins says in this video. I often wonder why a God would bother. Are we just experiments? and hell is a trash bin for projects that had no interesting results? Atheists that I meat on a personal level seem to be very intelligent people, but then also very arrogant and blindly aggressive towards anyone with a different view.(not always but often) But in turn I've met some blind theists.(Story in coming for the Lols) My friend James is an atheist fellow and has a brilliant and humerous mind. He was talking to this girl about mythology when he asked her what he though of mermaids. "They don't exist the Bible says so" she said... We could not stop laughing it was so priceless

I'm not.

Sounds like you should be agnostic then.

I believe there is one, however I believe in no specific one.
