We finally saw are first five seconds of PvP in Destiny. Despite needing new pants after witnessing those guardians shooting eachother, I started wondering what else we will see in PvP. I am thinking that they might have showed us slayer in those five seconds (I didn't see anything to the contrary). So what else do you think destiny will hold in its PvP part? What about what you would want to see?

At this point I'm more curious how something so far removed from coop PvE or even competitive PvE (fight for highest kill/score) would be implemented in a system where moving from activity to activity is meant to be seamless, like moving to and from private coop spaces and public events for example. Strictly in terms of gameplay I could see a sort of "zone out" warning come up if you were moving into an area where these matches would occur. But the seamless background matchmaking that would populate this area would seem to necessarily allow for players running around and choosing their starting location when a round begins. Otherwise, by "freezing" avatars as other players are populated and/or moving them to their start spawns at round start in the PvP activity, it becomes essentially the same as a pre-game lobby, which while familiar and fair seems opposite Bungie's general intention. That could open up a lot of uncontrollable factors on the part of the player with less opportunity to position their avatar before the round begins. I suppose though that being able to move around an area in 1st person before the players are populated and just being teleported to your starting spawns is fine and helps with orienting yourself to an unfamiliar area. That would probably be the better option, whether for a player entering a round at the start of a match, or joining in progress when the match is short a full population.
