Here are some things that indicate something for Destiny has been confirmed:
-Bungie has some sort of press release that explicitly details, explains, or mentions a fact about the game.
-A Bungie Employee gives an off-site interview that explicitly details, explains, or mentions a fact about the game.
-A (confirmed) Bungie Employee posts something on the forums that explicitly details, explains, or mentions a fact about the game.
-Either a panel of the Mail Sack or DeeJ himself explicitly details, explains, or mentions a fact about the game.
-An Activision Executive gives an off-site interview that explicitly details, explains, or mentions a fact about the game.

A note on facts before we move on: hints or implications can be facts, but merely the hint or implication is the fact. The thing that you believe that they are hinting at or implying is not a fact until it is confirmed by a Bungie Employee or Activision Executive.
Here are some things that do not indicate that something for Destiny has been confirmed:
-A gaming website guessed at a feature.
-A gaming website speculated in general.
-A gaming website said a fact about the game without a cited source.
-A distributor posted a release date. This includes but is not limited to: GameStop, Target, Walmart, Amazon, FutureShop or whatever the -blam!- the Canadian Best Buy is called, Best Buy, Ye Olde Widdly Diddly Electronic Doodly Shoppe or whatever the -blam!- the British Best Buy is called, and K-Mart (is that even a thing still?).
-Your cousin Mikey who is subscribed to "like a million videogame magazines" says he heard a thing somewhere. Seriously. Your cousin Mikey is always wrong I don't know why you still trust that guy.
-DeeJ or a panel member said something that you think is an implication of a fact about the game
-A Bungie.net forumgoer posted a thread about how the audio from the second vidoc, when played backwards, perfectly syncs up with The Beatles' "I Am the Walrus"'s drum beat and this means that Ringo is also collaborating with Paul and Marty on the soundtrack. Forum speculation is just that, no matter how convincing.
-You asked DeeJ a question in the Mail Sack about Destiny "like a million times in a row" and he refuses to answer.* Pleading the Fifth is not the same as an admission of guilt.
-A gaming website speculates about something.
-A Bungie Employee interview in general. I know this sounds hypocritical, but we've already seen how Bungie Employees' words can be taken out of context and/or twisted to fit an agenda or alternate meaning. Wait for some sort of confirmation outside of the interview. They've got people telling them what they can and cannot say in interviews. If it sounds too good to be true that they said something in an interview Bungie didn't talk about, it probably is.
Hopefully this helps you all in your neverending quest for accurate thread-making.
P.S. For the love of god, mods, don't move this into #Community. It makes no sense for it to be there. It's about Destiny and is related to the people of #Destiny. Most of them don't go to #Community anyway.
*unless the question is about the Crazzy Sniper in which case you can take it as a confirmation-and-a-half.

Snipe, anyone with intelligence would think the same way, but I doubt any idiots would listen.
