My opinion:
1) Iron Man 3- 9.5/10
2) The Wolverine- 4.5/10
3) Man of Steel- 2.5/10
Anybody who knows me on here will absolutely know that this is a perfect representation of what I actually think.
In all seriousness, what was your favorite CBM? In terms of:
Plot
Action
Character
Sound
Man of Steel sweeps all four categories for me
-
Man of steel was terrible and it deserved the poor reviews.
-
Quick question: do we need to see every building evacuated? We saw Daily Planet evacuate, can't we reasonably assume that other people decided that it is a bad idea to stay near the giant alien war machine?
-
Havent seen man if steel :3

I've only seen Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel so far and the were both ok. I kind of doubt I'll think the Wolverine is much better (if at all) than the other two so I'm gonna go with IM3.

Iron man 3? 9.5?!?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA
HA
I was thinking to myself what does CBM mean? then I realized how stupid I am.
-
CBM stands for Comic Book Movie correct? Then I would honestly have to say Man of Steel, neither of the other two were bad, I just feel like there were a lot less issues in MoS then in the other two. Lord knows IM3 made a lot of people angry and gave them the thought that it was terrible, but The Wolverine also had some issues too.

Plot: While Man of Steel's script is definitely controversial (but can't match IM3's for biggest WTF ever made by the comic community), I felt the themes present throughout were absolutely brilliant. The ever present theme of choice really resonated well with me- I felt it to be a good evolution of the "nature vs. nurture" thread present in the classic Superman incarnations. However, my favorite part of the film was the way the "Every person can be a force for good" theme was expressed. It's exactly what Superman means to me. That no matter how small you think your actions are, they have the power to create change for the better. Especially present in my favorite scene of the movie (and one of my favorites scenes in movie history)- the World Engine destruction. While Superman is off performing this Herculean feat of strength through sheer will, you have Perry staying back to comfort Jenny- being a hero in his own, smaller way. Action: I really don't think this one needs any explanation at all. Man of Steel decimates the competition. Character: While I felt Man of Steel's supporting cast wasn't as developed as it could have been, I loved Superman's development throughout the movie. Especially in the two most controversial scenes- Johnathan's death and the neck snap scene. His entire life he explores one area of choice, opting to not save Johnathan by following this ideology, and when he's forced into the exact same position and explores the other one, he becomes the true Superman. The "third option." That's when he realizes that he can't be bound by those two areas of choice- he has to be another one. And in the end we finally see the real Superman. "Welcome to the Planet" indeed. Sound: Again, really no comparison. While IM3 and The Wolverine have some good music, it's nothing compared to Man of Steel. Listen to the ambient sci fi wonder of "Look to the Stars," the ethereal choir of "Goodbye my Son," and of course the all new Superman theme "What are you Going to do When You're not Saving the World?" So yeah here's my little ramblings once again.
