What do you think of this Shin Megami Tensei IV review? *no spoilers*

Here's the link for those that want to do some more research on it, and the whole review itself will be quoted below: http://www.gamefaqs.com/3ds/672441-shin-megami-tensei-iv/reviews/review-155413
"A Wasted Effort" I really can't quite grasp where the appeal for this game derives from. You get about as much excitement out of this game via gameplay, story and music as an average "Free to Play" MMO. Seriously, the gameplay is extremely generic and uninspiring. It feels like it has a traditional RPG feel to it, and yet it has nothing special to offer in terms of uniqueness; granting it absolutely no ability to stand out with solid gameplay. The game plays as a graphics novel when you aren't dungeon crawling or fighting battles, which is always something different to experience in comparison to the typical story directory involving polygons. Customizing is probably the funnest part of the game. This includes two major things: demon fusion and changing equipment. Changing equipment allows you to change your cosmetic look and grant you different strengths and weaknesses. Demon fusion is the best thing this game has to offer. Collecting and combining demons for a more powerful one is fun and rewarding. Too bad collecting demons through the unpolished demon negotiation system is absolutely mundane due to it backfiring on you with little to no control over the matter. It's truly a shame that the game easily breaks due to grinding. Meanwhile, the DLC content makes it even more game-breaking due to its promoted experience-grinding nature. The majority of the demons in this game are weird and silly looking while the staple demons of the series primarily have a ruined design and it's all quite disappointing. The worst part is the game's lack of defense stats, which makes everything a complete gamble of numbers rather than an authentic RPG. The story is scripted to have multiple paths of which you can choose from, which is interesting; that is if the base story itself was something other than uninteresting. It warrants little to no incentive to continue through its purgatorical text. Just about all of the characters have an odd, yet bland and boring appearance that's unappealing to the eye considering the countless amount of hours you spend looking at them and they really have the dullest of personalities, plagued with light, old-school anime tropes that no one cares about. Alas, the music is this game's saving grace. Unfortunately the saving grace itself is nothing special. This game's soundtrack is an extreme snore-fest. There was not a single moment of the game that caused me to pause and listen to any form of an epic track. It's really too bad, honestly. With the unimpressive abomination that is SMTIV, it's no wonder that Atlus is on its knees; they should have stuck with the successful Persona spin-off series instead. Points for trying though.
Nothing annoys me more than when a game that can easily be worth a purchase gets dropped into the trashcan ratings because someone thinks it's justified. This isn't the only review that's giving the game such low ratings like 3/10 or 4/10, a lot of people are. The only cause for it that I can understand is the fans of Persona, which this game is not. People need to stop shitting on games in reviews because they don't like parts of it, the same goes with movies too. There are games that are deserving of such low leveled ratings, but it's as if people have to make a conscious decision to overlook their conscience saying "you really shouldn't be rating this game this low..." and then they go and do it anyways, I can't honestly understand their actions. No spoilers as the title says, but if you have played SMTIV yet at all, tell me what you think of this review and others, for newcomers that have yet to try it out, go ahead and look through the link to get some info.
