So I'm getting into graphic design/character modeling

And I have to say I'm extremely nervous. I have no clue what I'm getting in to. Any tips or tricks for a newbie? (Attached is what I have done so far in Maya)

My first Autodesk program was Inventor. The best tip I have for you is to try and play with the program on your own free time. You learn to retain everything about the program so much easier when you teach yourself. And if you're like me, you'll simply enjoy messing with new software to see how it works. And don't get overwhelmed if you can't figure out how things work. It's why you're taking a class for it; to learn.
