Interesting idea about reincarnation
I posted this before, but couldn't find my thread to bump.
What if we are reincarnated, but the souls move backward in time. Before you were you, your soul inhabited a body in the future. When you die, it will move back a generation.
This would mean that all human progress is us vaguely remembering what we had and attempting to regain it.

That's not what happens. Souls are frequencies which travel the binding energies of the Aether. When someone dies, their soul travels on the aethereal currents until another biological body is found. Sometimes the currents of the Aether don't take a riding soul to a new body for a while though - and it becomes desensitised to the energies. Then, it becomes one with the energies and by the time it enters a new body, their soul and being is very sensitive to the Aether which surrounds all of us; they can manipulate it... They can [i]use[/i] it. This is where magick comes from.
