The Wii U will have the necessary installed base for Destiny. Read about the 3DS turn around. The 3DS leads current console sales, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Nintendo is now focusing on the Wii U. Nintendo will soon release Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D and Super Smash Bros. These titles all are system sellers and will likely drive sales for the next eight months. Nintendo has dropped the price of the console and bundled a system selling franchise. Neither the PS4 or XBOX ONE have any significant exclusives during their launch periods unless you've been sold on Kill Zone or RYSE. The Wii U bundle is $160.00 cheaper than a PS4 or XBOX ONE. Which one do you think Mom or Dad is going to buy for the Kids?

  • But the mom or dad will not get an M rated game which means Destiny has no incentive to go to Nintendo.

  • You may be right, but your analogy of exclusives for next gen consoles is flawed. Nintendo pretty much is all about Nintendo's IP and exclusive games. Their 3rd party games are practically an afterthought. On PS4 and Xbox, the bestselling games at launch will be 3rd party multi-plats, a la Assassins Creed and COD: Ghosts, so correlating the lack of significant exclusives during launch to the systems not selling well like the Wii U is problematic. Also, the next gen consoles actually launched with quality hardware rather than the Wii U.

True Nintendo's first party titles are its greatest strength, and its greatest weakness. Nintendo tries, but most third party games have a difficult time competing. Their current franchises dominate due to their long established fan base. They're all under performers. The 360 and PS3 were filled with quality components, these new consoles were built to profitable from day one. The 360 and PS3 made our gaming PCs at the time obsolete. This next generation of consoles clearly do not.

  • Ugh. God, not the PC master race bullshit again. Get off your flipping pedestal. Not everyone enjoys PC gaming. That's what its about. Not a dick measuring competition.
