This system seems pretty solid to me, but with a few (minor) apparent flaws. These flaws could just be from lack of info though
One Primary, Assault Rifle-ish class. This is an obvious choice on any game creators part. As long as there are a ton of weapons in this class, from smgs to semi-auto rifles, this is the perfect slot.
A special slot that I see as a "utility" slot, which has been shown to have a shotgun. I think this is a great idea, because in Halo and other games, certain weapons were fun to use, but only in certain situations.
The heavy slot seems good, with snipers, LMGs and rocket launchers shown so far. The only problem is that the Vi-doc said "unrealistically large amounts of damage in a small window of time." Is there a limit on the time you can use this slot? Is there any advantage to using a normal AR over an LMG? This is my only worry about this weapon system.
What are your guys thoughts?
