Seriously, both of those things are so great and fun.
I love playing MP games offline with bots. It's fun and it's great to just dick around and do random stuff without worrying about anything.
Cheat codes are another thing, sure they can ruin games and makes them die out faster. Takes out the challenge and all that stuff. But they are still great and makes them fun. The larger the variety of cheat codes. The better. Like playing an RPG and just spawning random monsters in the middle of a town and shit.
But bots... bots are just awesome.
Unreal Tournament series had the best bots ever, they were good. Aren't retarded and fun to play against
Star Wars Battlefront games, still had pretty decent bots.
Black Ops was also pretty fun. I enjoyed combat training. They were fairly dumb but I still loved it.
The early battlefields also had bots and that shit was fun.
For the longest I've always wanted bots in Halo. That would be... amazing.
But yet... both of those things are dying out. Bots are pretty dead. Cheat codes... not quite, but they're getting there.

Timesplitters bots were awesome.
-
Most devs don't won't to bother programming multiplayer bots in their games. As for cheat codes, blame achievements.
-
Really? You thought the SWBF bots were decent? I thought they were dumb as -blam!-.
-
Seriously Rockstar, fuck you and your crappy phone-cheats. I miss flying cars and jet packs :(
-
lolbots... all that tells me is you are bad at multiplayer games and probably have your ass handed to you on a silver plate
-
cheats have been replaced with hacks and mods, bots have been replaced with online multiplayer. I know, it sucks
-
Half the fun of Grand Theft Auto 3 was going online and looking up cheat codes on your dial up. Woooooo!!!
-
The newfags will never experience the joy of cheat codes.
-
I miss cheat codes too...
-
Games are so easy nowadays that you don't need cheat codes anymore. :/ I miss dropping a tank in the middle of downtown LA in San Andreas.

Sadly it seems they are going the way of the dinosaurs.
