Well I'm sitting on my throne with my can of fosters and a thought crosses my mind.
Will alcohol ever be illegal?
If so... Dark days.
No?
-
No it won't be. Ever read up on prohibition? Yea, it won't happen again
-
No. But I do reckon that there will be a day when it is looked down upon and taxed to a oblivion, similar to tobacco now.
-
Nah, it won't. tobacco won't either, we really will only see an increase of what drugs ARE legal.
-
History teaches us NO
-
No because the Alcohol industry is making way too much money. Same with the tobacco industry.
-
I sure hope not. Last thing I want to have to do is smuggle US piss beer back up north.
-
Fosters!? Did you lose a bet!? Sick man, sick. Yes, there are countries that ban alcohol now... Some states of India. Afghanistan Bangladesh Brunei Iran Kuwait Libya Saudi Arabia Sudan Yemen
-
Probably not
-
If it does it won't affect me.
-
Look at prohibition....
-
The answer is jäger
-
Here's a little lesson for any historically challenged users: Here in America, we tried banning all alcoholic drinks back in the 1920s. However, with all of the speakeasies and smuggling, it turned out to be a complete failure. If it didn't work back then, it sure as hell won't work now.
-
Prohibition of anything doesn't work, never has, never will.
-
Tried it, people died, decided it was a bad decision.
-
Have you ever heard of the prohibition? Same thing will happen and then it'll create more crime.
-
Well...if they just banned Fosters, my faith in humanity would be restored.
-
Nope. Prohibition completely and utterly failed. By banning a recreational drug you create a dangerous and detrimental black market. Not to mention the damage it would do to the economy.
-
it was already illegal at one point didn't turn out well
-
Industry is way too big for something like that to ever happen.
-
Already has
-
Why are you drinking Fosters? It's awful. OT: No, I doubt it would be.
-
well it was
-
No. If they're making weed legal, at what point do you think they'll try and prohibit alcohol?
-
Probation didn't work out
-
lrn2Prohibition
-
Not in Western culture, no. Too many people are making a (less than) honest living off of it.
