With Batman: Arkham Origins just around the corner, I thought I would finally get around to playing the whole series.
Now, I have the GOTY Edition for Arkham Asylum. Should I start with that, or go directly to Arkham City? I have Arkham Asylum on my Playstation 3, and would like to continue playing my games on that platform.

Do you have Arkham City?

Start with Asylum. They're both amazing games. Arkham City is just bigger in every way though and is a lot longer. Arkahm Origins looks cool. It looks mostly the same, except more side missions and a bigger world, but that's fine with me.

Arkham City is goat, haven't played Asylum.

It's around a ten hour game if you don't do all the extra stuff. But I would play through both, as both are excellent and city is a direct sequel, so you need asylum to really connect with the story.

I've never played them but I'd say play Arkham Asylum first to better understand the story and get a hang of the games

You already answered your own question.

You should play Asylum first. It's much darker. Plus you get to play as Joker in the ps3 version. And you might be confused on the whole Titan thing in Arkham City unless you play the first game.

Why would you skip Asylum?

I havent played asylum but you probably should
