Implying many of you still go there, but I've heard horror stories. Share yours. If you have one.
I've just posted a topic on the BS that is the latest H4 TU, and I'm waiting to see what happens. It may be trolling, but I also have legitimate grievances with that shit.
-
Does anyone know what Time Glitch got banned for? His custom games thread was really helpful I don't know why he would get banned for that.
-
Never been banned. Criticize the game all you want, don't be an ass, and you won't get banned.
-
I got banned once for being a jerk, but even the mods I contacted agreed that a jump to a ban without a prior warning was strange and uncalled for. They aren't bad people.
-
I called some dude butthurt after posting in a thread that turned out to be spam.
-
Never.
-
I've never been banned on it because I don't act like a complete prick. If I'm annoyed with something on Halo 4, I criticise it. In a constructive manner. The majority of tards on this site who say they have been unfairly banned usually just make a thread saying "lol343".
-
I don't visit Waypoint really. I have a couple times. Anyway, these threads always make me laugh. Every example I've ever seen of some unfair ban shows the individual acting like a jackass.
-
Shockingly, I haven't been banned yet, despite this voicing of negative opinion.
-
Never post, never banned.
-
I've never been banned on Waypoint.
-
Haven't been banned yet. I barely ever go there anyway, but I make sure to tread lightly.
-
I have seen some pretty ridiculous bans. People bring up legitimate criticism and are completely mature about it, and get banned. Its a joke.

Edited by Grey101: 8/27/2013 10:53:07 AMI got banned for calling someones argument stupid despite someone calling me stupid in which the mod said that was "on the line". I got banned from changing someones sentence from "Halo wars is not canon" to "in my ignorant opinion halowars is not canon". My post was "unconstructive" despite the fact the rules say spreading false information isn't allowed which that person was doing by saying halo wars wasn't canon. Not to mention people were talking about building a mcdonalds on requiem, never got banned, the mod i was talking to and BS angel ignored why that was when i kept asking about it. I got banned because people found out how to see more pages of TTW preview i put up from amazon and they said it was my fault and that it was an "unofficial source" yet they always post the forerunner novel previews from Tor in the weekly updates. Waypoint is a effing joke. don't get me started on how the kids there think that if you don't agree with their ideas that you are attacking them personally.

We don't go to Waypoint anymore...

It's been awhile but I called out factual issues in Halo 4 and how fanboys ignore it with ignorance and they banned me for it. They thought the word 'ignorant' means I called them stupid which if they took the chance to learn English they would have understood the word ignorant means "lack of knowledge on a subject" which is what they were doing about Halo 4 and I was trying to educate them. But oh no, don't educate anyone because they'd rather say nonsense with a blind eye than be set straight. They seem to have the concept over there that being ignorant is ok and if you call them out on said ignorance it's not ok to correct them in their biased false statements and we should just let them all run rampant spewing false crap about Halo thinking they know what Halo really is. One thing I cannot stand is when new players who only played Halo 4 / Reach assume they know what Halo is, say halo 1-3 are bad (because they played it like two times and got shat on), and then try to say what they think is 'fact' while bashing all the veterans in the same sentence. Even worse many blame competitive/MLG types of players for the downfall of Halo or why Halo is bad or the "just play for fun, and if you don't play for fun you are doing it wrong" (oh the ignorance). The mods over there only enforce such ignorance with their own biased fanboyism which makes the place even worse. Now I know some waypoint fanboy is gunna reply to my post eventually (they always do and I won't respond to their nonsense). Don't bother, this is bungie.ent where people who have actual minds that can think for themselves and post their thoughts reside. Unlike waypoint where if you don't agree 100% with 343/Halo 4 and are a fanboy you'll get banned. Plenty of threads made in the past where people posted the post they made at waypoint that got them banned and it's just hilarious the mods ban them for such trivial stuff. So in short, it's easy to get banned on waypoint if you can think rationally and aren't a fanboy.
-
I said Halo 4 was bad, and 343i is ignoring the proper aspects of Halo which are causing it to fail. Perma banned.
-
It's slightly better now than it was, but still incredibly easy.

Edited by CAR105 3: 8/27/2013 10:30:38 AMMy account has never been banned in waypoint
Because I never post
-
Made an account to complain about how the existence of the GOTY edition is a giant rip-off for LE owners such as myself. I haven't even played H4 much in a good while, but I hate 343i for pulling this shit. I got banned, as I expected.
-
Still not banned and I was there when the Halo Wars forums got moved there. What on earth are you guys doing?
-
Can't get banned if I can't even post, i get a time out session error message half the time. I've stopped going there due to that for the most part.
-
Edited by Dusty: 8/27/2013 7:52:24 PMNever. But I don't post outside the universe forum anyway.
-
Never been banned or even warned. What the hell are you guys even up to over there?
-
I got banned by them pretty easily
-
OP:
i tink halo 4 be te best gaim taht iz ther on xbl
My response:
Posted by: The English Language Please... Stop r@ping me... Just... Please...
1 year ban.

I find it ironic that whenever these threads come up, most people complain about how the moderation "sucks" and mods "don't know how to do their job" and it's "unfair". As in comparing Waypoint's forum moderation similar to what we had in bungie.old, when the same posts occurred over here. Can you image what it would be like if Halo Waypoint had self moderation like we do here? ;-)
