And gamers either want to be connected so their stats and achievements reflect who they are, or you want the full multiplayer experience on top of that. We don't deliver offline experiences anymore."[/quote] I am a pretty balanced guy on stuff like this. EA has released some really good games. I just dont understand how a company can be soo -blam!-ing stupid. Sure people want to be online and play multiplayer but that doesnt mean that they want it 24/7. Some people like to play SP or offline with bots sometimes. Why does it have to be all or nothing? Having a game like sim city which tons of people enjoyed playing offline is now forced online. You want to know how much I use those online features of sim city? I don't! Now the fact is when travelling sim city is useless for me. Shit like taht irritates the -blam!- out of me. It is one thing to give players the option to have the ability to go online it is a totally other thing to force the players to be online. Added to the fact that F2P isnt a good model for every game. It is a simple concept that obviously EA has a difficult time grasping. F2P has been good for multiplayer so far at least for the companies taht do it right. How is it going to be applied to SP. Does this mean that people are now forced online everytime they want to play a sp game? *sigh* Why do I even get work up about shit like this.
