So I had this idea that I personally think is pretty cool and I want to know what you all think. When I was looking at my Auction House thread, I noticed people were worried about just being able to buy powerful weapons which can dilute the joy of finding loot yourself. So my idea is that instead of buying items, you play for them against the people who have bid for that item. So the person who wins obviously receives the item and the seller will receive all the money the bidders placed to participate for the item. The idea is in early development but let me know what you all think, thanks.
EDIT: Realised that the bidder could just place a ridiculously high bid, so I need ideas on how the seller could get something back?
EDIT 2: I suppose the seller could set an entry fee and the seller would receive that money when the match is finished. The match would only go ahead if there were at least 2 bidders, of course.
