PEOPLE OF THE INTERNET, YOUR FREEDOM IS AT RISK!
Remember SOPA? That bill that would outlaw the streaming of any copyrighted content online? It's back. Don't remember? Allow me to refresh your memory.
Basically, If someone uploaded a music video, TV show, videogame commentary, or anything like that to the internet, or were caught streaming such a thing, they would be considered a FELON... You know what that means? They'd be sent off to a jail as if they were a murderer. I don't think I could sum it up better than the person in this video.

(Warning: explicit language)
Will it be passed? Probably not, but the fact that it's even being considered isn't the problem, it's the fact that it's being considered AGAIN. we need as many people to speak out against this as possible, we need to send a message, or else they'll keep trying, just like they have been, and eventually, it may very well get passed.
So share this video, sign the petition, do the best you can to speak out against this.

I don't even know why I bother caring anymore. I'm going to leave my country if this legislation begins here. I try to engage in civil discussion when I hear someone say they don't care about mass surveillance, I try to point out the flaws and all the power it gives government. How it could easily result in abuse of power and restraint over journalists, but still, there's nothing really being done about it. It's the same shit every-time, people get irritated and talk about it for a month, then they never bat an eye about it. Come election year, they'll all flock to their polls and vote for dickhead A or B and we'll get the exact same result. People are too stupid for democracy to work properly.
