(Yeah, I'm probably going to be put on some NSA watchlist because of this thread but who cares? I'm probably on there already due to my religion. So here we go:) Sometimes I wonder about this. You know the saying "one mans terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" right? Look at what our government has come to. They secretly violate our rights, let the rich get what they want, and let the lower and middle class people get screwed over and over again. Oh and yes, many cops, soldiers, and government officials seem to be above the law because they tend to get away with a bunch of bullshit. This sounds a lot like some modern/medieval era mash-up. Where the royalty (corrupt govt workers, and the upper class) got what they want at the cost of the serfs (lower and middle class citizens). The Templar/Knights (soldiers/cops) get to -blam!- and kill innocents during war and also kill whoever snitches on them (whistle blowers). Oh and if you can bribe the royalty (politicians) enough you get to do what you want! Why are there so many parallels to such a shitty time period in our history? Are we heading there again? How is our government of "democracy" any better than the dictators' we tend to kill off? Osama and Sadaam used to be on our side, how do you think they got US STINGER MISSLES? Most of these dictators that the people in those countries are now rebelling against were placed by the US.
