After seeing all of these memes using it (and frankly ruining what it really meant) I am curious if people actually realize what it meant in Britain.
Back in World War 2 during the blitz (the bombing of London and Britain throughout the war), the government released posters to keep morale up among the population and among them was "Keep Calm and Carry on". It merely meant to act as if nothing was wrong and to live there lives as normally as they could.
I just hate seeing people ruin history and deface it through abominations like "Keep Calm and Swag on" which makes no sense, and I guarantee you 90% of people using these memes have no idea where it originally came from.
