I was just reflecting on the series when I realized how absolutely dumb it was that this game has a 94 percent on Metacritic. I mean, I can respect others opinions, and if you like it I won't really hold it against you, but from a content point of view, it's just lacking so much.
What made this game so highly praised? The campaign was microscopic in length, the multiplayer was almost completely broken and the Spec Ops missions are the only thing with actual substance- and even then they're just side missions. Was it just people buying into the hype because of a trailer featuring lots of explosions and mainstream rap? Of course there's too many lurking variables to make any sort of legitimate conclusion, but... I don't know.
What about you guys? Best/worst CoD? Stupidest/least stupid game? Thoughts on MW2 as a whole?

Edited by HUNTERxKILLER: 8/18/2013 7:05:28 PMYou had to play it in 2009/2010 to get why. Coming from COD 4/WAW so many things were new and cool in MW2. A few I can think of are multiple attachments on your weapon (Bling Pro), custom killstreaks (Where before it was only UAV/Airstrike/Helicopter or Recon Plane/Artillery/Dogs, now we had things like the AC130, Harriers, Care Packages, Tactical Nuke, etc...), new attachments like the thermal scope, underslung shotgun, and the suppressor for snipers/lmgs, and the memorable campaign (Ill never forget the white house run to the roof at the end of the ranger missions or Shepards betrayal and killing of Ghost and Roach). In my opinion anyway its the last time a COD title had some serious innovation compared to its predecessors.
