7 RepliesIDK where this guy got his degree in "computer science" because his knowledge on RAM seems severely flawed. He just adds the ram together like its some simple equation. Thats something that maybe a middle schooler would do there is no way that works like that. Im getting both the Xbox One (sports) and the PS4 (friends getting it) and this article seems like this blogger was subsidized by Microsoft or something. He calls out ps4 fanboys before even getting to the article already indicating a bias towards the Xbox One. Its a blog so its not legitimate journalism and shouldnt be taken as such. This is one of the major issues with the internet today people can just post blatant lies as fact and not receive any negative effects. A product of a lack of regulation so you take what you can get for internet freedom. Id rather have bullshit articles like this than have a policed internet.

Thank you for posting this. I have a friend who insists the Ps4 is [i]significantly[/i] better than the Xbox. I've tried to tell him they're virtually the same, and that specs aren't about which number is bigger, but he doesn't listen.

Apart from the fact that it isn't and that isn't an article but is instead a blog, one that is factually inaccurate. The writer has a degree in what was it again? Computer science and he is a software engineer. Well i guess a [i]software[/i] engineer must be better qualified to talk about hardware than someone who works with hardware. [url=http://www.tomsguide.com/us/ps4-vs-xbox,review-1844.html]Read this[/url], much more accurate of a review and considers more than just the amount of ram and esram. The sheer fact that the guy doesn't know the bandwidth advantage of the DDR5 completely overrules the slight speed advantage of DDR3, and the fact he says booya is clear bias in his writing. To finish off the guy uses an unconfirmed rumour, started on IGN's site itself, that 3.5gb of the ps4 is not accessible. This is a bad comparison in every way.

2 Repliesthe xbox may have 0.5GB of RAM more going to the gaming part than the ps4 but the ps4 is quicker so it can make up for that so the xbox isn't more powerful idiot!!

...did you even read the article, and not just the title? They are virtually identical. It will come down to which devs optimize their games better and quicker on a console for it to be seen as a successor - don't quite know why you used the word 'destroy' when the article clearly says the opposite.
