1. Tip Of The Spear (Reach)
Wow what an immense let down. At first, this level teases us with huge scale warfare combat between two giant armies during the cutscene. Instead, what we got was "move from point A to point B, disable some turrets on the way, destroy a Spire. LOL done."
2. Nightfall (Reach)
Jun using his Sniper as a shotgun. Irrelevant wildlife enemies that only appear once and are never seen throughout the game again. More disabling Covenant hardware to keep the level moving. It tries to pull of stealth gameplay but just fails miserably with poor level design and retarded AI.
3. ONI Sword Base (Reach)
Did Bungie run out of ideas for plot incentives? Actually scratch that, there wasn't even a plot in this game until The Package. All this level consists of is priming auto turrets and clearing out Sword Base. But hey, we're turning them on this time instead of disabling them. So that's something.
4. Winter Contingency (Reach)
You can literally run through this level until you reach the Energy Sword Elite at the end. The only thing redeeming about it is the piss easy achievement you can obtain from it.
(Yes I understand this isn't the first time Bungie has pulled off a level like this, but Uplift Reserve was actually fun IMO.)
5. Crow's Nest (Halo 3)
Yawn. This level is too damn linear and confined for me. I guess they were trying to reminisce CE's Keyes, but it didn't really work. It's not abysmal like Reach's aforementioned levels, but it definitely is a snooze fest.
Sorry Reach fans. I didn't enjoy this game at all.

I think new alexendria was a pretty boring level. Bungie really dropped the ball on that one, they could have made it so you start out with you falcon and go to the hospital to rescue civilians, then go meat up with noble team somewhere. Then, you split up, 3 members go to take care of one building then you an someone else go somewhere to do something. Like, you and Carter(you didn't have any missions that were focused on Noble 6 +carter) go to club errera to take out the hunters and save the troopers(who are creepy IMO, it seems like they stare at me all the time). Then you and carter could call for a pelican to transport the troopers and pick up the rest of noble team, when over the radio you hear Emile, Kat, and Jun talking and then Kat dies, and you don't witness it, but you hear it. So when the pelican comes, you pilot it(properly pilot it, not like a Halo 3 hornet with no guns like the pelican was to fly in reach) and you picked up Jun and Emile, then Jun detected a radiation spike, you you had to get to the ONI building and get underground before you got glassed over and the city got glasses in sections.

Every single level in Halo 4. Except for the space station/gamma Halo one. That actually felt like Halo.
-
I'd say this is a pretty good list. I'd add Cortana on there somewhere though.
-
Every Flood level in Halo 2.
-
Damn, had a nice list typed up on my main... And if you think the AI is stupid now, just wait until you figure out how easy it is to break every non dual wield Elite encounter in the game with hologram...

Edited by Cobravert: 8/15/2013 3:37:31 PMHalo CE - Liked them all Halo 2 - Liked them all Halo 3 - Liked them all ODST - Kikowani Station, mostly because I am a terrible Banshee pilot. The majority of the Rookie sections - Boring. Reach - Tip of the Spear - Rocket Hog specifically, worthless contraption. Long Night of Solace - not being able to skip the animation sequences. New Alexandria - monotonous. The Easter Eggs are the only thing that made it worth playing. Halo 4 - Forerunner - The Ghost run at the end. So glitchy. Sometimes the respawn is right against a rock wall and the whole wall collapses on you. And any level where the Promethian Knights would warp right up in your face. So not really a level, just that aspect about them.

1. The Library Too dark and just plain monotonous and boring. The fact that the Flood are the only enemies you fight doesn't help the level at all. 2. Cortana Confusing level design, an abundance of Flood Ranged Forms on every wall, you constantly run out of ammo, and then there are those Gravemind/Cortana moments throughout. Once again, the fact that the Flood are the only enemies you fight in the level doesn't help. 3. Midnight Overly linear level design, poor art design, and just plain boring. The fact that you only fight Prometheans certainly doesn't help (see a pattern developing?). And it would be a crime not to mention the ending of the mission as below even sub-par. 4. Sacred Icon/Quarantine Zone It starts off easy enough with just Sentinels, but deteriorates quickly into shit as a barrage of Flood, darkness, poor level design, and bland art design descend upon you. The crowning moment of horrid, though, has to be the gondola ride at its conclusion. 5. The Arbiter/The Oracle Just plain boring and just not very fun to play. The elevator ride in its second half certainly doesn't help matters.

I don't hate any level from Halo, but these are the ones I like the least from each game: Halo CE: The Library Halo 2: Sacred Icon Halo 3: Tsavo Highway Halo Wars: Super Scarab Halo 3 ODST: I like them all too much. Halo 4: Shutdown.
-
Any five missions from Reach that aren't New Alexandria or Pillar of Autumn.
-
No particular order; Cortana (H3) Lone Wolf (Reach) That's it, actually.
LW for the sane reason I hate firefight, boring, and I do t like endless enemy things on any game.
-
I'd say most of them are in Halo 4 but I'd get flamed to kingdom come. Put it this way, the only mission from another game would have to be Nightfall. Nothing enjoyable about that level.
-
1. Mombasa Streets 2. Crow's Nest 3. Cortana 4. Halo (Halo 3) 5. Library
-
Exacty the same as you, OP. Reach's campaign missions were awful.

Edited by Tartan 118: 8/15/2013 2:52:23 PMI'm going to omit Halo Wars, because it was the worst of the series by far. Oracle: could see shit all. Delta Halo: really bad attempt at recreating the 2nd level of CE. It was far too linear. Cortana: need I elaborate? The Great Journey: quite underwhelming for a final level, excepting the Scarab escort. To be fair, Bungie didn't plan it as the final level. Halo (H3): why remove the trilogy's most iconic enemy, then Covenant, in the last few levels? Flood vs. Sentinel fights are pretty dull, and the final run felt like a reheat of CE's. I forgot ODST. >_< Had a few duds, like Data Hive, and Kikowani Station and Kazingo Boulevard were a bit underwhelming.

Edited by Logfish111: 8/15/2013 11:15:39 AM1) The Library - Boring and monotonous, terrible combat. 2) Cortana - Boring and monotonous, terrible combat. 3) That mammoth mission - Slow, boring and monotonous, terrible combat. 4) Nightfall - Just no. 5) That HW missions where you have to get the civilians to the ships - Just stop.
-
Pretty much all of the Halo 4's campaign levels were bad
-
All of Reachs campaign was pretty boring to me, none of levels were any fun, so I'll just say Reach as a whole was my least favorite campaign mission.
-
Half of Halo 4 and The library. God how I hated the Library. I'm not counting halo wars but some of those are annoying too.
-
Shield World (Halo Wars) Nothing else.
-
Cortana (Halo 3). That's all there is.
