I honestly enjoy Call of Duty... call it the same boring game, but I know when I pick up a new copy every year I will more than likely have fun and enjoy it. The only Call of Duty game I haven't enjoyed was Black Ops 1, and that was because I was into other games at the time and didn't feel bothered to be playing that game at the time. I know a lot of people hate CoD... and I can understand why. Every year you basically get the same thing, and most people overlook the changes because at the core the game plays and feels the same every time. The people that hate CoD are the people that are tired of that same feel and experience. They think its old and dated and not innovative, and I can see why. But there are also way more people who do enjoy the CoD experience, its just hard to see because they aren't on internet forums and boards talking about how great it is. The truth is that CoD haters is a small, vocal community that seems way bigger than it actually is. There is nothing wrong with it, but I just think the amount of hate people have for the game is... unhealthy. Gamers are passionate, but sometimes their passion gets to their head and makes them a bit irrational. That all being said, I think CoD: Ghosts looks sick as hell, can't wait to get it alongside with BF4 on Playstation 4 (It'll be strange playing these games on PS4 coming from Xbox 360 :s). I know this post will get ultra-flamed simply because I like the game, and people will somehow try to convince me that my own opinion is 'wrong'. Bring it on. *Flame suit equipped*

That was painful to watch. CoD should not get any praise, it has destroyed the fps genre and is starting its work on other genres. It deserves no praise.

Edited by Trollheim: 8/14/2013 5:59:24 PMThe innovation was that it turned the majority of FPS games from restaurant-style meals to mass-market fast food crap. You don't sit down and appreciate the experience anymore, you glob ketchup or mustard or whatever your choice of condiment is while slurping on a jug of mountain dew. The worst thing is that even the restaurants are picking up on these ideas. No longer does the chef put his heart and soul into the meal - you get a "vanilla" dish and pour steak-sauce, ketchup, and all sorts of other condiments over it as well. People might argue it is no longer commercially viable to deliver a specialty burger that can't be tweaked to the customer's individual taste, but perhaps the problem is in the financial angle, not the product itself. Perhaps enough people would be willing to pay 50% more and support the meal with dessert-LC, if the experience delivered a premium experience.

Halo 5 will now copy stuff that CoD Ghosts has. I'm pretty sure 343 is watching the CoD Ghost stream and being like "hmm CoD has this now so we need it for innovation!" so sad.

Gamestop are playstation fanboys so i dont care about them

Is that guy serious? Really?
-
I'm at around 2:30, I want to shut this retarded drivel off. There's so much wrong with everything they're saying. Do I have to watch this entire thing?
-
And yet, even when they make a video pointing out all the things CoD has done, people still jump on the hate bandwagon and say shit like "NOP COD IZ BAD LOL!!!!!1!1!". The comments on that site are awful.
-
CoD is shit now though, but at least it takes a shit ton of annoying kids out of other games.
-
Anyone else choke on their own spit when they said innovation?
-
More accurately: Call of Duty: 1 year of Multiplayer Innovation, 6 years of Copy/Paste laziness
-
Say what you will about the more recent call of duty releases, but they still maintain the highest populations and sales. I'd say it's because they carry on the arena shooter more successfully than any other franchise

Call of Duty World at War is my favorite COD game. Every game that came after it doesn't have the same feel.
-
Call of Duty 4 yes. Other then World at War everything else felt like a bad move, and the community continued to deteriorate as the games went on... Besides, even though they said no disrespect toward the older Call of Duty games, its still feels like people are trying to erase them from gaming history. Hell I had more fun in CoD3 then any installment since then.
-
lol CoD 4 is shit.
-
-
CoD 4 was good, CoD 2 was better.
-
-
Hahaha. Only part I really agreed with was what he said about CoD4.

It doesn't take 8 minutes to kiss Activision's ass, GameSpot.
