The point was raised in HM Rob's thread, in a strange manner that didn't work so well.
So here's a direct question for the atheists of Secular Sevens; what would it take for you to become a Christian?

i follow my own religion, one that accepts all religions and all people. i don't believe in god but the ability to adapt and solve our own problems without begging someone else to do it. if you want to know what will make me become christian? nothing, I'm content with my own belief and don't think it needs to change, nor should you.

Edited by Astraeos: 8/14/2013 2:47:51 AM
it is a very selfish thing to do and all humans and species are equal
Again, your definition of "equal" is vague. when i say equal, i mean nothing is greater or deserves more then others, and nothing is lesser or deserves less then others, equality.
none is better then the other
Again, what do you mean by "better?" ^above
none should try to change another.
Okay, this I just flat-out disagree with. All progress is fueled by conflicts.
progress is fueled by conflict? Last i checked Leonardo Da Vinci had no conflict, and he made designs for the first Helicopter, Plane, Tank. He also mapped the Human body and wrote what 90% of doctors and nurses use today. He is also probably the greatest engineer and one of the best artists in all History. Progress is only fueled by greed, hatred, and those who do think that they are greater to others.

Surely those who are more capable or more virtuous deserve more respect than others?
progress is fueled by conflict? Last i checked Leonardo Da Vinci had no conflict, and he made designs for the first Helicopter, Plane, Tank
All of which are used in combat, but that's not my real point. Also, see above vid for another semi-relevant witticism from the GREATEST GODDAMN THING EVER COMMITTED TO CELLULOID, The Third Man. Anyway, my *real* point is that, without problems or confusion or disagreement, there is nothing to inspire thought or advancement.
Progress is only fueled by greed, hatred, and those who do think that they are greater to others.
??? I may disagree with the "only," but it just seems like you did a complete 180. Or are you consciously anti-progress?
