I am not huge on gaming media media stuff but I found it interesting that some more "hardcore" trash talk is now happening at these events.
So to my knowledge 2 pretty big teams were taking each other on. One team member (I think epsilon) Just moved from the team they are facing to his current team and the trash talk (IMO) got a little out of hand. I remember the days of halo 3 competitive play where this stuff would hardly ever happen with big teams. What do you guys think though? Do you think they crossed the line with how much trash they were talking?
If I did get any details wrong feel free to say and I will edit the post :).
This was not a MLG event just to clear things up :).

Thus is the fate of the gaming world without Nintendo. More so, the future generations.

I got to 25 seconds in the video before I stopped it. Mother of god that was just sad and pathetic. I know when I'm playing games there are times when I shout shit. But it's a little different when you're around other people and you do it for that long. When I do it I'm usually home along and I do it when I don't have a mic plugged in. He needs to learn what self control is.

Huh. I feel bad for his team mates, they're trying to communicate and coordinate and he's off wasting oxygen and making a fool of himself and esports. Seems like the sort of thing that MLG would want to reign in, and while I haven't watched a ton of Professional CoD, I don't see crap like this with Starcraft, League of Legends, or DoTA.

Wait a second OP did you seriously suggest talking shit to the other team is a new thing? Dude people trash talked all the time back in Halo 2 and 3. Hell you can even find clips of MLG pros back from Halo 2 and 3 talking shit. It is fairly common because guess what? To a lesser extent it works. A lot of people when they get annoyed either do one of two things. They either get mad and as a result start playing like shit or they step up their game and wreck the person talking shit. A lot of people start doing the first one and as a result it is a good thing to start to talk shit to the other team especially if thousands of dollars are on the line. However most of the time it is not meant to hurt the person most likely the person doing the trash talking is doing it for the fun of it when really there isn't a chance of losing. Since talking to your team is more useful than insulting the other team.

It's very understandable why they do it. It makes the opposing team member(s) lose their focus. Harsh, but a part of the competitive scene. Also, lol at the comments in this Thread.

Trash talking does nothing more than make me laugh. MLG is a joke though.

I don't know much at all about these competitions but I would have thought all trash talking would have been strictly out of bounds while the game is ongoing. Guess I was very wrong.

At least Walshy had some class.

I wasn't a fan of MLG before, but this is pretty disgraceful and I feel bad for the people who had to sit there and listen to these kids. They took arrogance to a whole new level. I've never watched an MLG event before but does this happen often or at all? If not I bet the sponsors and MLG community are pretty embarrassed that these kind of people are a part of the community.

>MLG lolololololol For those who don't know, MLG is a joke in the competitive gaming scene.

What did I just watch... This is what everyone looks up to?
