No, I'm not Muslim. I studied the Qu'ran briefly while in Hawaii for an essay comparing religions and pretty much saying that the war between these religions is bullshit.
I was raised as a Roman Catholic and I would pretty much consider myself a die-hard conservative up until high school ended. Over the course of 3 years, my views of everything has changed dramatically. I used to be against gay marriage, but now I'm in favor for it. I used to be heavily against the legalization of marijuana, now I want to see it legalized to have a boost in our economy. I thought my religion was right and everyone else's was wrong, but my study of different religions for my world history class made me open my mind.
I would consider myself a Deist now. I still believe in a Supreme Being due to my faith and how I was raised, but I don't believe that he/she/it has a direct influence over everything else. That's why at Superbowl parties or other things like that, I laugh on the inside when people pray to make their team win.
