I'm already a moderate Roman Catholic, but Catholicism is a sect of Christianity. Honestly, I was a die-hard Catholic until I went to college. While I'm religious, I'd love to see more of what those people preach. They preach happiness and love and equality for everyone. Yet, when the subject of gay marriage or anyone who is gay pops up, they treat them like shit or say that they don't deserve it. Again, I'm religious, I'm Catholic, but I would [u]love[/u] to see religious people stop acting like hypocrites. This is a broad generalization, but from my personal experience, I'd say it's justified to label Catholics (At least, from my parish) as hypocritical douchebags.

Yeah, it's all just cultural difference.

Pretty much. I live in Southern Ohio and Catholics here are very tolerant of any gays and our social beliefs are more liberal than Catholics in more conservative areas.
