No seriously, the leaders on this site are complete jerks. The Bungie Employees are too "high and mighty" to post or have normal conversations with us. The Forum Ninjas? all they are a bunch of old farts who like to troll stupid kids on the internet. Then they came out with a "Welcoming Committee" That is full of people who aren't "leaders", but who are supposed to be nice people who help us new members. BUT THEY AREN'T EVEN THAT NICE! So, I think we should get some real new leaders in the community. I think we should get one leader who could pick a committee of other member to help him lead with an iron fist. Of course i'd be plain selfish to nominate my self, I would never do that. But I do know someone who would be a great leader, Helveck.
Helveck would be a majestic leader, a guide, and a ruler. So, let it be.

No #Dragons? I'm disappointed in you Helveck.

The Employees do post, the Ninjas are just doing their job (And still are somewhat chummy with the rest of us.), and the Welcoming Committee helps people figure things out. Beyond that, it is what you make of it. You don't like that? Then mute them. Seriously, just relax. We're not supposed to be all super cereal here.

Best thread ever.

The Internet is what you make of it. I have never once seen or heard of a bungie employee trolling anyone in their community. They are one of the few game developers I know of that have had a long history of loving and caring for their community. I'm glad they are working hard on the next big game I'm waiting for, rather than waging debates with the ungrateful. This site was made for the community, why don't you stop trying to put it to war?
-
Really not that bad, and I'm not butt kissing here, either.

Trying too hard.

Edited by Mac: 8/9/2013 11:15:57 PMYeah, there are a few rude mods and Bungie employees (they know who they are), but most are pretty helpful. Frankly all they really need to do is answer questions and watch the community. I can't say the leadership is excellent, and wouldn't mind someone else taking up the mantle, but those guys will suffice for now.

Someone's raging. Chill out dude. It's just a website on the internet at the the end of the day ;) My experiences on this site have always been awesome.. Apart from when TomT warned me in 2010.. Haha! Feel free to message me if you encounter a question!!

Preach it brother.
-
Well... I think you're a jerk!
-
Best thing I can say is to be a shining example. Leaders aren't just the people hand-picked for the position, they're the people who rise to the task. You don't have to be a Bungie employee to have an influence of the community, you don't have to be a ninja to help others. All of these things can be done simply by making good, well thought out posts, putting up helpful replies, and continuing the conversation in a manner pleasing to all. Don't wait for a leader to be picked, be the leader yourself.

Is this where we get our Helveck full year calendar for our majestic leader?

Edited by Kamots: 8/9/2013 2:14:44 AMI nominate myself as pack leader. I already have experience. I ruled my last pack with an iron jaw. You can even ask my brother; Lakota knows how well I wield power. Vote Kamots, 2013. Perhaps even YOU could be my new beta, to eat by my side and not wait like all the others have to.

You know who you're starting to remind me of? The character named "Squealer" from Animal Farm. Yeah, yeah that's where I'm getting that vibe from. Thanks for helping me delve into my old library of books :)

Chorizo and arbitor5? Those people are extremely nice
-
Well maybe we aren't the jerks, maybe you are the jerk! Ever thinks about that one... Er...punk.
-
Yes. Yes he would.
-
Unhappy with the status quo? Lead by example. It isn't selfish, if you feel you can do a better job, please do, the community will be better for it.

Dont know who Helveck is, seems to have a lot of followers though. I have a counter proposal. Why dont we just get Robert Mugabe to lead this rabble. Seriously though, I think Bungie should keep a certain amount of detachment. After all b.net is for the fans. I think Bungie are mostly off being busy with the game, which I think is a good thing. Besides if they were always in here, you can only imagine the sickening amount of suck-holing that would be going on.
Then they came out with a "Welcoming Committee" That is full of people who aren't "leaders", but who are supposed to be nice people who help us new members. BUT THEY AREN'T EVEN THAT NICE!
I just looked at the members of that group (and decided to follow the group), looked through some of their recent postings and the main page for the group, it seems like a good idea. Do you have examples of them "not being nice"?
