I'd say that people of all beliefs view those things as different from marijuana for the most part. Sure there's pot heads that are into harder stuff as well but just just as many if not more(people who smoke weed) that are strongly against any artificial chemical substance that is used for altering the mind. So I think even if we started to see an overwhelming amount of people pushing for weed legalization, it still wouldnt mean we are anywhere close to legalizing things like heroine, alligator and PCP. (lol phone auto correct: PvP?) so rest easy. not all pot heads are stupid.

Toplel, the used to be. Decriminalization, and refocusing of budgets for those two drugs could wipe the issues off the map.

Well heroin was illegalized because of the highly addictive properties, it was originally used to kill pain without being addictive. But that 1800's logic. Marijuana is an entirely different drug, it's not as detrimental to your health as tobacco and alcohol is.
