  • I really hope between now and the games release to implement complete free roam. I think it would work just as well if not better than what was mentioned in the video because you can still accept and go on main story quests and side quests, just do them at your own pace and leisure when you feel like getting around to it. It could also potentially add to the sandbox feel this game will most likely have knowing that you know you have complete control over where you can go depending on what you want to do and do them in which ever order you like. I really enjoy the thought of being able to use halo tactics to fight enemies that will even fight each other. I wonder if two races of hostile aliens are fighting each other and you join the fight attacking only one side at the start if the other side will not attack you until your joined forces have destroyed the other side or if they will cease their turmoil and unite in their common goal of getting rid of the humans and affiliated races. Video game relating to the way you look at a painting? Answering your own questions? Finding your own answers? FRICKING AWESOME! I love that Bungie won't tell us exactly what's going on and leave things open ended so that our imaginations, much like theirs, will run wild and fill the voids with what ever can think plausible. To eventually narrow it down and fine tune the thoughts of many in the years to come. Another thing that I think might be worth bringing up even though I'm not so sure how many people know of or have even played it, is that the more and more I listen to, watch, and read about this game and how they want to create their own world with characters that you stick with and evolve over time just keeps reminding me of Dungeons & Dragons. It's also a game that's been playing off of the open world use your imagination concept for quite sometime now. Where a vast imaginative world is created and characters play through it and solve it's mysteries and write their own stories. Now obviously players in Destiny won't have as much freedom to do just anything but that's just another similarity. Dungeons & Dragons games have a GM/DM (Game Master/Dungeon Master) and in Destiny that's the role Bungie will play. I wouldn't be surprised if they got just a few thoughts or just looked at it briefly. I like the idea of a smaller group for a fire team rather than a large one. It steers away from just rush in, kill, and move on without really thinking about it. This will add to, to quote one of their trailers, the strength of the wolf is the pack and the strength of the pack is the wolf because it still requires players to be aware of what's going on and to at least somewhat plan out how they tackle certain encounters and set up some generic tactics to encounters like public events to make the fireteam itself to be a force to be reckoned with. Also smaller number of players per fireteam can potentially draw those players closer together as friends adding to the games experience. If you made it this far, thanks, these are some of my thoughts and regardless of what Bungie does with their game I will be sure to stick with it from the beginning to the end. I am eagerly waiting for the release of Destiny to then okay it for countless hours.
