I'll jump on the bandwagon.
If you detect a way in which this forum could be a better place, take action. Hide a topic. Mute a user. The controls are in your hands.
When you complain about Ninja inaction, our heads explode. It's like watching a train roar toward a raven with a collapsed bridge. The conductor's hand is on the brakes, and he's screaming for someone to stop this thing!
We have put you in control of your own destiny. We have lead you to water. Drink!
You need to let go of the time when the Ninjas were judge, jury, executioners. Please act on your own impulses, and moderate this forum to your own liking.

If you have people openly discriminating against blacks, gays, and minorities, I can't have them muted. It's something offensive and now I must take the heat. I can't wait for their ban anymore, I have to take the time and let everyone else reading know that person is just an idiot so that kind of sick mindset doesn't alter a healthy, innocent one. And I've seen bigots convince people before on these forums. Do you understand the problem? About a month ago, we had a user going around spreading blatantly racist posts, explicitly saying things like, "blacks are more violent; blacks are less intelligent; whites wouldn't start riots over this," (yes, this was after the Trayvon Martin ruling). Do you remember what happened? Because no one else was doing anything and for me it would have been impossible to reply to the volley of insurmountable posts (although I tried reporting, but of course nothing happened), I was left with the one option to post an embarrassing picture of him telling him to take his racist posts down if he wanted me take his picture down. The one time the mods decided to take action was then and I was banned for it. And I'm not complaining that I was banned, I broke a rule. I'm complaining that the other user never was banned for breaking a rule. But you know what? I got him to take down his posts and I had accomplished more than the mods had done since the update, and I was at least proud of that. Actually my favorite part of that story was later on when I made an alt so I could go back to the community and demand the user be banned for racism (in a civil, non-derogatory way I might add). And then what happened? I got banned. Again. For offensive content. For the mods (with the exception of Recon) could never bare the thought that they make mistakes. Since the beginning, all I sought was that user's racism be dealt with. But you couldn't even manage to do that. This is your Code of Conduct. You should act on all rule breakers, not just the ones you choose. At least be honest and say that mods do still ban, but only on that mod's personal feelings and opinions and not according to the Code of Conduct. Because that story I have above was not a rare, single incident; I see the Code of Conduct not followed every single day. I report all forms of racism, sexism, and other bigotry and none of it is ever handled. Now the one thing I would love is an explanation, but feel free to ban me again if that's what you want.
