Pretty straight forward question. Driver updates for PC enable better performance, optimization for tasks, all that stuff.
But as far as my knowledge goes, the most consoles have had in the way of system updates are just changes to the operating system. I don't actually think PCs have ever had real driver updates, because an original Xbox 360 could play Halo 4 just as good as the latest model could, disregarding cooling problems but that's a hardware problem.

The only changes they did was the size, fan and more USB's. Why wouldn't Halo 4 run as good on the original design when it's a game for the 360 and the original design is a 360?
