Haha... sorry for the weird thread.
My friend and I were having this discussion and she brought up the fact that Joel's actions in The Last of Us were perfectly justified. She also said that Nathan Drake is a psychopathic killer.
I found her statement pretty ridiculous. Does Drake really kill because he wants to? Is he doing good deeds for the world by taking out very dangerous men? I think by the end of UC3 Drake realizes he loved Elena more than all the treasure he ever wanted.
I am curious to see what people think.
I said Drake is not a killer because he is not killing any innocent people. She said he is a shithead for throwing that one guy in the Istanbul museum off the ledge(who did not die by the way)
Oh and after we had this "discussion" she believes I was silly for not believing her that Joel killed for a reason.
By her definition: Nathan is a psychopathic killer, whilst Joel has a reason to do it.
I honestly do not think Drake is a killer for various reasons.
He gets fired at first. It seems perfectly justifiable to survive for himself.
If Drake is a killer(her words) then so are various other characters.
http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=9085531 This article is a good read.
Lazarevic is an example of a killer who kills in cold blood. He is an example of a terrorist. My friend sees Drake as a psychopath... and it honestly bothers me.
Thoughts?

Nathan Drake always incidentally runs into evil people looking for the same treasure. He kills only evil people.
