What is the most severe injury you've received in your life?
Mine happened when I was a toddler, something or other ripped through the lower part of my mouth and my mother had to sew it up. Now I have two nifty lil' scars on my bottom lip :D
What severe physical (or even mental) injuries have you attained in your life! I'd really love to know!

In terms of accidental injury, I have no idea. Besides that though, I donated some bone marrow years and years ago because doctors found out I could donate it for one of my younger brothers, who needed it to cure a very rare disease both my younger brothers had. Anyways, two foot-long, steel needles, into the back of my hip. Although I had anesthesia, I was sore and couldn't do any hard work for a couple weeks afterwards.

I broke my arm at the age of two and I risked to don't use it perfectly anymore. My parents told me that it happened to a person that had my same fracture, at my same age, in the same period of time. I have been really lucky.

I was in a serious traffic collision years ago. It was late at night and while driving through an intersection a drunk driver ran the red light and t-boned me on the driver's side, hard. My injuries were significant, which included a fractured collar bone, a broken pelvis, a dislocated shoulder, multiple fractured ribs with tension pneumothorax with tracheal deviation (the paramedics had to perform a needle thoracostomy), a compound fracture of my left forearm, a sprang ankle, a broken tib-fib, ruptured spleen, and multiple contusions and some minor lacerations. The drunk driver only had a bruised wrist and face.

Edited by LordMonkey: 8/2/2013 11:24:07 PMAn ice skate nearly severed two of my fingers a while back. Fortunately it was my right hand and not my left.
I'm a lefty, even when I take care of my business. EDIT: masturbatory business.
Circumcision at the age of sixteen. As a hemophiliac, it did not go well. Sooooo much morphine.

I fell from my roof head head first into a fence, got up, wobbled, then fell head first onto a concrete block.
-
Had my heart broken. Still recovering, will likely feel the effects until the day that I die.

Snow + Sled + hill + log = head into log.

I was on one of those massive plastic slides that they have at the carnival. It was an extremely hot day, so the black plastic was scalding hot. So my parents forced me to go on it to "face my fears." My fears being the death trap slide. My left knee makes contact with the slide on the way down, instantly melting my flesh and leaving a trail of blood on the slide.

I got into a bar fight with a Jiralhanae drunk. Multiple lacerations to my arms and neck. He on the other hand, spent the rest of his days.....well, dying.

My mother once slammed my head into the side of the bathtub after thinking twice on almost drowning me, to which my head bounced off that and hit the sharp edge of the toilet seat right along my temple. I never got it looked at (I mean, I was around 10 at the time), but pretty sure that counts as a concussion. I do have some severe memory issues. Best Thanksgiving ever.

Having a pallet of cinder blocks fall over on me while I was riding in the bed of a truck.

I also broke a tooth
-
Shoulder dislocation, didn't hurt that much, until I moved it a few seconds later, and it went back into place.
-
I broke both arms riding a bike at a friends house, in 5th or 6th grade. All 4 bones..
-
I had my front tooth knocked out with a baseball bat... Fun times.

When I enrolled into the army, I went and got drunk and sprained my ankle. I didn't want my recruiter to be concerned and hid it while we trained. Lucky for me the training was easy since the regiment was in a summer stand down and I was just a recruit.

Fractured my right ankle snowboarding.
