There is a lot of speculation going around as to what the mystery fifth species is going to be. What is your theory? Answers below.

1 ReplyWell this is just my conspiracy but I think after you complete the Vault of Glass mission you get what Bungie says is the ultimate reward. I believe this means that you become a champion of the dark after all there is an achievement for killing a champion of the dark. Let me know what you think.

2 RepliesThe fifth is the Darkness, but that figure looks very... Human. What if all of humanity wasn't wiped out? What of they were indoctrinated by the darkness, like the other species? That would explain the seeming unaligned Fallen in the Reef. If there were humans leftover who weren't indoctrinated, there would be other races too.

First is vex, second is Fallen, third is Cabal, fourth is Hive, and the fifth is the Darkness.

5th enemy has to be the universes greatest killers, like dinosaurs, or other guardians, but instead of being made by light they are made of dark.

Its obviously the overlords.

The green looks to be a very organic race, swamp thing meets space magic. The other looks to be ethereal almost a pure energy race of beings.
