IMO of course, I bought RDR a couple days(maybe weeks) back due to peer pressure and the overwhelming assurance that this game was GOTYAY material. Initially, i was pleased by the fluid combat and the decently paced story, along with that classic rockstar morbidity. But as i continued playing it, the game revealed it's final form, which was a putrid repetitive fest of dull firefights and lack of any real gameplay progression. To sum it up, and to save both of our's time; the things that stopped me from enjoying the game were
>Characters are only important throughout their quest and then never make a return (aside from undead nightmare)

>No real connection with characters (Uncle was killed like 5 missions after he was introduced for christ sake)
>Repetitive/generic quest (Bountys, Scavenging plants, etc. Half of my gameplay was not spent doing unique things but rather, collecting shit and killing animals in a specific way)
>Dull multiplayer (Gang hideouts aren't really lame and there's only so much that you can do with friends)
>HORSES (I developed a sociopathic hate for horses because of this game, beware.)
>Poker (never explained how to win, just how to gamble)
>Same gameplay year round (you never need to change your tactics or anything, just Deadeye everything in sight.)
Liar's Dice was fun tho. Hoping to make a return tomorrow or sometime this week. Discuss what you thought about the game, and whether im right or full of it!

Well, I enjoyed it, but I can see why you didn't (You basically just listed the reasons). It always sucks to get pressured into buying a game by your friends because they say it's great, but end up disappointed when you finally get that game.
