I personally don't like huge amounts (or really any) any swearing in my video games, which is why I liked Halo in that sense; there was hardly any swearing, throughout the entire series. I also liked how little blood and gore there was in Halo, how you would have to hit a dead elite/grunt/whatever like twenty times to get the amount of blood and "gore" as I've regularly seen in other games.
