If no please explain why.

I dunno for me everything is scarily predestined. But i hope it is not.
-
karma it's a bitch, I love it... luck sometimes forget you!

Yes. Luck is similar to Karma, which is either nature's way of corrections or proof that God exists. But I won't go in depth about that. Luck, you have it or you don't. Luck determines everything in your life, so even if you think you have bad luck consider this: You're still alive. Thats rather lucky, if you think about all the crazy crap that can happen on the roads and how it never seems to happen.
-
All comes down to chance. Luck is bullshit.

no bc i am still bad at art after three years of drawing

I believe a person can get lucky or unlucky (as in a coincidence, something very unlikely happening to them), but I don't believe that there's anything you can do that will make you more lucky.
-
I believe in luck simply because if I'm playing a game and a rocket just so happens to fly inches by my face, I'm going to call it luck.

Edited by Euler: 10/6/2013 4:30:15 AMIn classical mechanics, if a machine existed that knew the position and velocities of all particles in the universe at any given time, it would be able to predict the outcome of any conceivable event. It becomes a little hazier with the quantum theory. Is the world truly in a state of constant flux and collapsed probability functions? It's weird.

I believe in luck. X9G-AAC-RA7

I always compare luck like any other game that has drop rate involve. It's all about the % of it happening.
-
I don't believe in luck. Dunno why. Just don't.
-
I believe in karma, and it is a cruel mistress.
-
Next time we -blam!- I don't want to -blam!- I want to make love.

I believe in luck simply because if something fortuitous happens to me, it's not necessarily happened because I planned it that way, or because 'fate' decided it would happen. It is because it happened to happen in that happenstance. Therefore, it would be luck that made it happen. I will say that I don't think there is a good luck or bad luck, just that things happen that are not expected. Luck, whether good or bad, makes that occur.
-
In the descriptive sense, yes. Luck exists, just as skill exists.
-
Luck is an event or occasion that one or more factors play out positively for you, or you escape from a tough spot unscathed or with the best outcomes in most cases. I do believe in luck.
-
Edited by Fat Tony: 10/4/2013 4:59:42 AMI just see luck as an event occurring which has an extremely low probability. ...but then again, not all events are quantifiable :/

No, I believe in Destiny

I don't necessarily believe in luck, I just use that word to describe situations for which I would have no other way of explaining.

It's undeniable that certain people drew the better straws of life (I mean, we're all in this thread by way of our computers, which implies all the things that being in a first world country implies - which is a hell of a lot better than being in a third world one - so we all got lucky in that regard), so it's not that far fetched to assume that certain people simply draw better straws more often - now exactly why that happens, i can't say, so i just call the whole thing luck.
