Hello everyone! Chorrizo here, and thanks for tuning in to the next Community Joes interview. This time, I spoke to a man who needs a hobby or two and maybe a couple attractive females. Time to enter the bored zone with, im am b0red.
CT: So, tell me about yourself. What's your name, where do you hail from, why are you so bored, and what do you do for a living?
IAB: Well, My name is Josh. My ancestors hail from Ireland, but I grew up in Jacksonville Florida. I will soon be moving to Gainesville for college though. And I'm not all that bored anymore, I made that name when I was twelve and now, it still haunts me... I am a full time student at the University of Florida studying computer science.
CT: Florida, eh? What's it like growing up there? Did you have to wrestle gators to get to school? I'd personally aim for their snout if I got in a fistfight with one. Show em who's boss.
IAB: Florida is pretty great, apart from the scorching heat and all. I spend a lot of my summer days waking up before the sun, stumbling to the beach in an exhausted stupor, then sit down and watch the sun come up on the east coast. After sleeping on the beach for a little bit, I go surfing when I can. However in north Florida we are lucky to get 3 footers, so I usually longboard around listening to music. As far as gator wrestling, that is further south. But when I go to watch Gator Football games (have not missed a home game in 7 years) I always see a few gators and hope they bring us luck.
CT: Sounds a lot like California to me. You know, without the gators. In California we'd freak the -blam!- out if we saw gator. So you enjoy surfing huh? What's your greatest story about it?
IAB: Well as previously mentioned, we do not get great waves so I am amature at best. However one morning, I got up before sunrise and caught a couple waves in freezing water at the break of dawn. After paddling back out, I saw the sun coming up so I stopped to watch and a huge stingray breached right next to me. Pretty cool after my heart attack went away! But I will have much better surf stories in about a month because I am leaving for Australia at the end of this month!
CT: Australia? That's pretty damn awesome. Be sure to meet up with some of our b.net family while you're down under. You wouldn't want to pass up that rare opportunity!
So you've been on bungie.net for quite some time. How did you end up here?
IAB: I would love to meet some b.net family! I'm heading to Sydney for three weeks! PM me if you do want to meet!
Yeah I came to B.net in the good 'ol Halo 3 days. I came to figure out how to get the screw by my name. Then after playing for a year, I decided I was a 1337 MLG pro like most 13 year olds on Halo so I came back to see my stats. Then i started frequenting the game forums and things of that sort. Then, one glorious day, I found the community forum... I was hooked. Seeing all the shenanigans and great people (and reading about them in the community joes interviews ;) )... I felt connected even though I lurked mostly. Then all the love and admiration I had built for the people of b.net was lost due to the flood -_- haha I grew to love that to though. Now, here I am, feeling more like a part of the community as ever!
CT: So, like most people, you came to check out your stats so you could show all your firends how badass you were. I myself came for the same reason. But, that's the easy question. The hard one is, what made you stay?
IAB: You ;)
haha but really I saw a connection between members of the community, as well as the employees and I wanted to be a part of it. Also my quest for mythic, which failed (That ban was crap Foman!!!!) then after participating in my first Bungie day, I knew I would never leave.
CT: I tend to have that affect on you. As for the quest for mythic and the ban, the slate has been wiped clean. You're mythic in my book.
What about that Bungie day was so special to you? How did you like this year's?
IAB: Honestly, when I was younger, the notion that I could play a game with the very people that created it floored me! I thought it was the coolest thing ever! As far as this years well... Don't get me wrong I always love Bungie day, but being between games and all it was not my favorite. Plus I'am still a sore-loser from that 'Space magic' contest haha I just can't wait to have DeeJ on my fireteam in Destiny in some upcoming Bungie Days! I'll show you REAL space magic DeeJ!
CT: Being so close yet so far away from Destiny surely is a difficult thing, but Bungie still gave us everything that we could (except for actual space magic) and that's why we love them. Speaking of fireteams, what will your role be? Titan, Warlock, Hunter?
IAB: I know I will play all three eventually, but what I wil start with is tricky... Probably Titan for the sole reason that he looks bad-ass. Props to you graphic designers at bungie!
CT: Titans are bad ass, and now you're bad ass because you want to be one. Let's be bad ass together. So we've been on the new site for quite some time now and we have some brand new forums. Which forum is currently your favorite? Is it still the community forum?
IAB: I was pretty open during the Beta about how much I hated this new site and the old one was much better haha I am sure some people reading remember one of my many bitch threads haha Yeah, it is probably still the Community, but the Flood gets most of my night post because it is at my level of activity. (#220ppdlife)
CT: That's a shit ton post, bro. As for the hate for the new site, that's behind us. So you talke about being a computer science major. Any dreams of the gaming industry, or do you have other goals for your major?
IAB: I will see what offers I get and where I land but if Bungie would hire me, I would be there in a heartbeat! It would also be a dream to work at google. I just want to be in a fun environment with good people!
CT: I hear Google has a crazy work place, and I think we all agree with you when you say you'd take the job at Bungie in a heartbeat.
You have a lot of talents, Josh?
Do you play the sax and woo the women, do you paint beautiful works of art, can you dance the night away?
IAB: Well, I am pretty good at piano if I do say so myself. I learned the song "When I Was Your Man" for the sake of 'wooing the women'. I love talkboxing! (look it up if you haven’t heard of it, its legit!) Many of the members of b.net have seen my works of art (see the b.net finalist for 'Space Magic' or my flood thread of me asking a girl to prom). Yeah, I can hold my own on the dance floor ;) I do love music though, my friend and I are in the process of setting up a studio in the spare room of my Gainesville apartment!
CT: Can you play Piano Man by Elton John? I hear if you play that it automatically makes women want your body. At least, that's what True Underdog told me. Any shout outs for your fellow community members?
IAB: I will start learning it immediately. Haha Yeah I'll give some shoutouts.
First, I would like to recognize Jarom West for his entry in the Bungie Day Contest. It was a beautiful hand painted piece that received very little recognition.

Well that sums up another one, folks. Still have a certain someone you would like to see interviewed and/or harassed by me? Suggest them! Do it now! I'm watching you and you're still not clicking the link!
As always, suggestions, comments, concerns, insults, love letters, and confessions and why you're in love with me are all welcome. Still looking for more staff as well.
Have a great weekend everyone, I hope you enjoyed the read.

Cool read.

I'm a Floridian myself. God awful humidity. Good times. Also, 'Piano Man' is by one Billy Joel, not Elton John.

Oh nice! You guys are still doing these? That's a pleasant surprise. Nice interview too by the way.

Not bad. Finally someone interesting.
