I'm sure some of you have seen your fair share of Destiny E3 gameplay analyses.. Some being good, and some being dry. Hell, Bungie even released their own.. But you have yet to see mine. I cover EVERYTHING that I could possibly see that would effect your guys' game. If there's a spec of dust that alludes to being some rare alien life form.. I will point it out and let you guys know what that is. So here take 1 minute or maybe 11 minutes and 51 seconds out of your time to dive in and take an in depth look at the beautiful world of Destiny.
Be Brave my fellow Guardians.

After rewatching the E3 videos (again) I've seen examples of some things mentioned in interviews with Bungie, while others are only speculation. Some of these can be seen in your video, but I've put the timings in relation to the official Destiny: Building the E3 Reveal video From 0:20-0:50, in the left and lower frame, some of the new in-engine effects can be seen, namely the realtime ('caustic') reflections and movement in water (reflections of the hills and moment of small waves) and solar lighting, presumably at an increased speed. Not much to discuss on this point, just a cool example of how great Destiny can be PRE ALPHA. Watch from 4:00-5:05, 5:30-5:40, 6:15-6:25 and 9:30-9:40; evidence of real-time info of the upgrading of weapons (possibly including melee @4:17 and Exotic Weapons @9:30). After defeating an enemy group, the weapon 'tabs' in the bottom left are highlighted, with point increases displayed next to a particular weapon. (@- 4:17, 5:03 ,5:35, 6:15, 9:36) Reloading the weapon does not have any effect on this display. This could be related to the 'glimmer' mechanic, or perhaps just a general increase to experience. It appears that the points relate to damage to enemies, bosses and loot. Any thoughts? From 7:20-7:30, more realtime reflections of a giant fan, but not of the Guardians themselves. Maybe I need to improve my eyesight here, but here's hoping that character reflections make it into the finished game. from 8:55-9:00:, a Fallen Captain has some kind of shielding. Whether this is a temporary 'power', or armour upgrade is speculation at this point. Still no idea on the 'Weapon Kits' though...

Edited by IkarusKalico: 7/29/2013 11:09:39 PMONE THING AND PUT CREDIT TO ME SAYING THIS IF NO ONE ELSE HAS NOTICED BUT!!! in the vidoc 1 pathway out of darkness, the bright young chap in the beginning is wearing a shirt that is Destiny Related and it actually pin points areas in the playable galaxy!!!!! satellites, planets, moons, etc. i came to the conclusion because of the geometry used in the background of the shirt hold close to the geometry used in the galaxy map they have had in some concept art~~

Good video dude, but my one issue is it sounds like your reading very fast from a script. seems quite fast. but good thing you made there though.

As long as we are looking at every spec of dust. To the right of the ammo count in the holographic sight there is a circle with a triangle on top. In the "Building the Destiny E3 Reveal" video we see the triangle move as the player turns. Could this be some kind of in sight radar or compass? I haven't seen a red dot on it yet, but it does move as the player moves. It moves at around 4:19 in the video and again at 4:53.

Consider this, the public event with the Vanguard emblem beside it, this is a Vanguard generated public event. If we are awaiting for reports from the Vanguard, and that they are higher level players. It would seem that they would have the ability to be in a forward position to see or warn or report on conditions or events. The City must be able to know what is going on around itself on order to defend or attack enemies. This is probably one of many different public event.

I really liked it man! Very well done. You pointed out a few little things I hadn't noticed

Edited by Ethsentray: 7/29/2013 4:33:59 AMThere was another one I saw on G+ a while ago that listed the literal time it takes the guns to reload, and the time it takes the abilities to recharge. And he also included that the Nova bomb doesn't start a recharge until detonated, when the solar flare begins its recharge as soon as you cast it. Where did you see how to pronounce the Gjallerhorn? Or did you just guess? (Edit: well maybe not literal)

Thorough analysis. Nice job man, subbed for sure.
-
calling them bosses seems a bit generous , they more like mini bosses or special / hard to kill enemies .
-
Much better than the commentary version from Bungie XD
-
Interesting analysis, I'm now wondering if the Vanguards work as some kind of information service, warning Guardians about impending Fallen assaults. That would also explain why we are waiting on reports from them on Venus and Mars.
-
you have my sub
-
I really liked it but you should add info from other formats in your commentary. I've done much to much research on Destiny so if you want to bounce anything off someone I definitely feel I could just point out somethings that you haven't stated. Either way man great job! Nice, calm, structured delivery definitely impressed! Subscribing and liking now! Just out of curiosity, what class do you think you'll start off with?
-
Awesome analysis. Great watch, liked and subbed.
-
I would watch but I'm going dark. As to avoid spoilers and build anticipation.

Sub and like from me :D

Edited by Floe304: 7/28/2013 3:58:49 AMi have to say it was informative and sure i have seen other breakdown the same stuff while in other videos some people over looked something and others mention those things over looked but lacked to mention some of the main points. i find yours well planned out and direct and detailed. but thinking back to other videos i think you missed a couple of things others have mentioned but it was minor things that can be over looked... like when the fallen mini boss died he dropped what looks like glimmer loot and a small blue-ish box. no one has mentioned that glimmer seems to be auto pick-up guessing when someone walks near by verses loot you need to manually picked up. also what is the smaller blue-ish box what is also manually picked up with the loot. it is ok to be direct and be informative and try to cover everything but it is also good to have a self speculated opinion... is the blue-ish box actual the loot and the ghost is hovering near by as a visual hunting dog pointing saying the look is over here! Also at the beginning you mention gun silhouettes which is the primary and secondary pistol. but failed to mention after looting the mini boss a 3rd silhouettes appeared.

Subbed and liked, I watch quite a few of your videos. Nice job!
