This may sound silly, but I'm having a really hard time staying connected to B.net lately. I waited through the darkness and really enjoyed the speculation and conversations that ensued. And as we got closer to seeing gameplay and gathering more info from E3, my site activity was at its peak.
... Then I saw those numbers. The ones that I was fully expecting, but it was still a shot to my heart as they flashed on the screen. 2. 0. 1. 4. I knew it was coming, but when I saw that we were at least a year from release, my energy to pour into this site just died a little.
It's not logical. This is when more people are joining and giving (some) awesome insight, but I am just having a hard time justifying another year of forum browsing before the game even arrives.
Am I stupid or does anyone else relate with this?

Don't worry. It won't be a full year with how much Sony is pushing Destiny. They put it in almost every product description of the PS4 I've seen so far with retailers. Which in my mind means it should come out in the "launch window" within three months of the console. Also, the game was originally slotted to be released this year, and now that Bungie is moving into Alpha stage, I would anticipate somewhere around a March release.

It would kill them to show some alpha footage now and again. No seriously I think there's poisoned dart guns in the sprinkler heads over at Bungie.

I hear you Padre. My excitement level was at it's peek during E3 and now I have to say it's been at an all time low, 2014 is so far away! I REALLY wish Destiny would lauch with the consoles. Maybe some new video content will reignite the flame. :)

You have become burnt out my friend. Nowt will fix it but a hiatus I'm afraid. Take a break, return when the urge flowers in you anew.

I can totally relate. When there was new information being released, this forum was awesome. Now that everything has died down and no new info has emerged, it makes visiting this forum kind of frustrating. Only because I just want the damn game to be here already lol. I can't justify browsing the forum for another whole year but I would say that checking in from time to time is probably the safest bet. I don't mind logging on to check out the mail sack every week and to indulge in some occasional speculation. Unfortunately we have quite the wait in front of us.
