No seriously,
If gay people choose to be gay, when do straight people choose to be straight?
My point is that orientation is not a choice, it's biological. There's even scientific evidence that younger brothers are more likely to be gay than their older brothers. Also, there doesn't seem to be any genetic causes for homosexuality.
Debate.

For me, i think it's biological to want to be attracted to the other sex and to not really be 'interested' in anything with your own sex. It's what the rest of nature does for most species, but anyone who does otherwise and is attracted to their own gender shouldn't be persecuted or shamed for it. They should still be allowed to make their own choices and live how they want.
-
It is a choice. People can either choose to live an alternative lifestyle or they can choose to live the way the Bible's laws tell us is the right way to live. That goes with any lifestyle people choose to live. You can choose to live your life as a liar- convincing people every day you're telling the truth, or you can choose to live your life in truth.

Biological.
-
If it was a choice, their would be very little gay people.
-
I don't believe its a choice, but if it was then that would mean being straight is also a choice, and it's still not right to discriminate against someone for it.
-
Also, there doesn't seem to be any genetic causes for homosexuality.
Mutation it is then, there is no biological advantage to being gay, it cannot be passed on as a trait, and they don't choose.. Congrats, you just labeled being gay as a "genetic -blam!- up", nice job, dick.

Edited by Elrond Hubbard: 7/25/2013 4:09:28 PMOkay, I want to throw you choicers a few curveballs. Here's some snippets of a post I made in the other thread: There's observable evidence to be found about the brain in regards to orientation. It's the consensus among psychologists that trying to change orientation is a very bad idea. Ex-gay therapy has pretty much always failed. (Three links in there) So, question: If orientation is a choice, why can't gay people turn straight?

Not gonna watch the video, but here's my logic on the whole thing. I like girls. I've always liked girls. I didnt wake up one day and say "You know what, i think i'm going to be attracted to girls." That's just how i am. I imagine just about everyone is like that. I don't see why you would think anyone chose their sexuality.
-
I just thought of something... What if homosexuality is nature's way of controlling our population? Idk I have zero evidence and it was a random thought.
-
You don't choose your sexual preference. You are born either straight, bisexual, transgendered or homosexual.
-
I knew I was straight when I inexplicably started taking an interest in women. My friend knew he was gay when he inexplicably started taking an interest in men. No difference.
-
You worded that question weird.
-
gay is choice
-
It is most definitely not a choice.
-
I'm pretty sure it's a combination of both to varying extents, with different variables pertaining to the individuals in question.
-
i didnt choose the hetero life... the hetero life chose me.
thank you hetero life... i love you
-
Both. It's impossible to rule out both options, but I'm fairly certain it's in most cases biological.
So contamination on the women's part is the cause of Homosexuality ?
