Yup... this happened.
"Once an ODST, Sarah Palmer was hand-picked by former Spartan-III Jun A-266 to be one of the first candidates in the new Spartan IV program. Quickly proving herself during the defense of the UNSC Infinity from a hostile takeover by Insurrectionists, Palmer was soon called upon to lead a Spartan strike team during the historic Battle of Draetheus-V. Now the senior Spartan aboard Infinity, Commander Palmer went on to be instrumental in the recovery of the Master Chief and the defeat of Jul ‘Mdama at Requiem."
It's nice to have some closure on the issue (no, Jun did not "die protecting Halsey", that was Sheila in the battle of Miridem in 2549 by Thel 'Lodamee, the Elite Major from Halo Legends: The Package), but that doesn't explain how he survived. The Pillar of Autumn was the last evac transport on the continent until the Chief returned to rescue Halsey and some of the remaining Spartan-IIs in the Ascendant Justice...
Insurrectionists attacking the Infinity sounds interesting, perhaps this will happen at some point in Mortal Dictata when it's released following on from the whole Venezia storyline?
-
The real question is why the hell would Jun want Palmer to be a spartan? She's not only really annoying, the onemission she actually physically takes part in fails miserably.
-
Sarah Palmer was hand-picked by former Spartan-III Jun A-266 to be one of the first candidates in the new Spartan IV program.
Now we know who to blame.
-
Kind of ironic that the biggest ass hole and most carefree of the team was picked to defend the UNSC's top scientist
-
God dammit Halo what have you become.
-
What are they going to say next? That Jorge survived the slipspace bomb?
-
Jun is Master Chief! Jun is Master Chief! They both have green armor that means they're the same person!
-
I love Jun. I always knew he survived
-
f jun he needs to f ing kill him self every one else dies but him stupid asshole
-
And on that note, what happened to Grey Team (The Cole Protocol) and Red Team (Halo Wars)...
-
The majority of the Halo community knew this. Thanks anyway though.
-
Well....shit. Not sure how I feel. I doubt we'll see Jun ever again, and I liked the theme that all of Noble Team died in ways relating to their character.
-
Would be interesting to see him in the upcoming Television series...
-
Edited by Citrus raptor: 7/24/2013 12:27:56 AMBet there are a lot of people going told you now... Idk what to say, yet. They'll have to explain how, then I'll make up my mind.
-
"...and the defeat of Jul ‘Mdama at Requiem."
What? Isn't he still alive?
-
So out of all the things they could've announced this on, they unveil it on an Xbox Live piece of avatar clothing?
-
WRONG! Jun is Master Chief.
-
I'll say what I said in the other thread: Bungie confirmed this years ago.
-
Inb4 343 hate.
-
The Pillar of Autumn wasn't the only one that escaped Reach.
-
Palmer has to be one of the shittiest characters I've ever read about.

Edited by Kafuu Chino: 7/24/2013 12:31:04 AM
Commander Palmer went on to be instrumental in the recovery of the Master Chief and the defeat of Jul ‘Mdama at Requiem
I stand behind my lolno comment in the previous thread. lolno
OT: It is pretty interesting. I wonder if we'll get any info as to what happened to Jun during and after his escorting of Doctor Halsey.
-
Didact is destroying humanity, Master Chief cannot get to him in time and just when all hope seems lost in rides the Spirit of Fire with Red Team, Blue Team and Jun to save the day. That is what 343i will do.
-
He still died protecting Halsey in my mind.
-
Hey, I'm just glad they finally got around to confirming this issue. Although, they sure are exaggerating Palmer's record a bit there.
-
Former Spartan 3?
-
Interesting. I'll have to read more about that somewhere.
