You can spam troll threads all you like, but as a rule of thumb, if you wait until your previous threads die and just take some time to craft a quality troll, you will be exponentially more successful. Take the "Cat Ears in Destiny" thread. That troll thread was so masterfully crafted that it caused the biggest butthurt shitstorm I've ever seen on the site.
