Last week we all chipped in some money to buy a D&D set...
(Right there I bet most of you stopped reading)
Now I know what yer thinking, yeah it's probably the nerdiest thing any person could do, but we talked about it and thought it would be fun to try out. RP isn't my strong suit but eh, they're probably no better at it (except maybe my brony friend)
I told him if he's a pony I'm going to turn him into glue and dogfood
But I digress. We're jumping into a dark realm of nerd with no chance of escape, there's no turning back now. I'd be less anxious about it if there's any more modern paths to take, then it would be more fun in my eyes. Less Ye Olde Talketh and more sci-fi.
I was just wondering about the Flood's opinion on D&D, do's and don'ts. All that jazz and whatnot.

Well, don't insult jazz as D&D. At-least you aren't LARPING...

*Looks at this guy.* *Looks at OP.* Are you even trying?
-
Don't play 4th edition. Apart from that, have fun!
-
PFFFFF You're not a nerd until you have a waifu and at least 2 dakimakuras of her. SRS though, you're not a nerd.
-
I've always wanted to try D&D but nobody would ever give it a try with me. I'm jealous.
-
Read all 7 of Tolkien's official canon Middle-earth books and memorize the history of all four ages, plus the Years of the Lamps and the Years of the Trees. Then we'll talk.

I've always wanted to get a good D&D campaign going, but my brother and I never really could do anything than play a thrown together every now and then. I know my friends used to before I met them and they had a really good time (usually, anyway). Thing is, no one I know that would play D&D has any time to regularly sit down and play for who knows how long. I would if I could, though.
