This is Ghost here. Semi-well known Internet asshole and personality extraordinaire. I'm here to briefly explain why you shouldn't bother with being bothered on the Internet.
First off, you're likely never going to see the other person whether it be in a picture or in real life. I'm not trying to be mean here, (well, maybe I am) but the Internet has been a sea of -blam!-faces for the last decade or so. At this point, anyone who is expecting a Mister Roger's Neighborhood with the shitheads that occupy whatever dark corner their basement stronghold is probably either twelve or hopelessly naive about how humans interact with each other. This is me being very nice; get over it. We're all assholes here of varying degrees of asshole circumference. It's most likely not going to change for a long time.
Second off, unless you're extremely insecure in your own beliefs, you shouldn't be letting total strangers decide how you should think and how you should react. Of course, that doesn't stop people from letting it happen anyways, but I'm just going to throw it out there that you don't need to listen to these people. Like I said before, chances are that you don't know anyone on whatever forum/social jerkoff site/shitposting board you're posting in and as such, you probably shouldn't be taking everything that they're saying so god damn seriously.
Finally, I'm also going to reiterate a point that I've made before in one of my Halo rants; it's extremely annoying when people deliberately draw attention to themselves and then act surprised when people get pissy at them. This happens in real life too, so I don't know why you'd think flashing your tits on Bnet is any less strange than at Time Square in New York City. When you act like that asshole who made his village run to him every day for fun and then got his ass kicked by a bunch of wolves and then cry about it, you probably shouldn't expect any sympathy from...well, anyone. Cry wolf enough times and eventually, people are just going to let your face get stomped in like how Ryan Gosling did in Drive.

You asshole.
Finally, I'm also going to reiterate a point that I've made before in one of my Halo rants; it's extremely annoying when people deliberately draw attention to themselves and then act surprised when people get pissy at them.
Ha. Ha. I'm sure a great many people on this forum can say the name of the user I'm thinking now (hint: he left not too long ago).

I never thought people really got mad here. I figure whenever someone swears or whatever at another around here, it's in a condescending tone, rather than an angry one. The only evidence we have are other people calling each other mad, which is never actually true. Also, I take it this is a jab at the mute function? Why does it matter so much that someone mutes another around here? It's just a filter, like clicking on #offtopic. You aren't weak-willed for muting something, and you aren't tough for not doing anything.

Drive was a freaking awesome movie. The soundtrack, [illegal in Israel], the storyline, the filming, it was just so awesome. I am glad that some of its soundtrack will be implemented into GTA V.
This is Ghost here. Semi-well known Internet asshole and personality extraordinaire.
No.

Who are you?
I'm not trying to be mean here, (well, maybe I am)
I stopped reading there, because honestly, why I should I value an opinion of someone who is just a shitty person and is completely fine with being so? Cool. You don't get "pissed" at the internet. Con-fu*king-grats. This doesn't make you "tough". This doesn't make you "special". It doesn't make you, well, anything, besides a try-hard that wants to tell people how they should and shouldn't feel. Certain things affect people differently and rather telling them to "deal with it", why not just try to improve yourself as person, rather than complaining about the ones complaining about people like yourself? It's just a never ending cycle of BS. Also, this;
Internet assholes are more insecure than anyone who takes the Internet seriously.
10/10 Would read again
Semi-well known Internet asshole and personality extraordinaire
I never saw you until now.

I hate people. Not the internet. Just the people. All of them, they can all go -blam!- themselves.

Edited by BlackHeaven: 7/20/2013 6:53:34 PMInternet assholes are more insecure than anyone who takes the Internet seriously. Probably with good reason. Life has to suck if your only way to blow off steam is to go online and trash people anonymously (aka cowardly).
-
Why you shouldn't have an emotional response to stimuli
This doesn't really seem possible.

Quality post, Ghost.

Stop being an asshole. PROBLEM SOLVED!! It's okay guys, we can all go home now.
-
Or, you know, people can spend less time being assholes on the internet. It's ok every once in a while, but you should never make it your goal to be a general asshat or to put people down.
-
Getting pissed off at something on the internet is liking seeing a piece of shit in the middle of the road, diving and rolling around in it screaming you don't like it
-
Edited by Psycho: 7/20/2013 9:19:54 AMHow could I not get pissed at the internet?

Obviously you didn't read my thread. Simpleton.

Anyone trying to make the internet a better place is like trying to filter piss out of an ocean of piss. It's a dirty, thankless job, and ultimately a waste of time.

It's a sad day when common sense has to be explained...
