"What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates.
Let's be honest, if you don't go the gym and hone your body into the best shape it can possibly be you're doing it wrong. I can't fathom anymore the mindsets of people who don't go the gym, of people who are content with being average and unremarkable. I've been going the gym for just over a year now and I can honestly say it's completely changed the way I view life.
brb strong as hell
brb in great shape
brb working out inspired me to keep a healthy diet
brb stand out from the crowd
brb respect from guys, girls wanting my body
brb much more confident
Used to stay inside all day playing games, writing fan fiction (the fact that at one point I was writing 3 Halo fan fictions on this site says it all really) and being depressed with my life. Almost as soon as I started working out the bouts of depression I used to have completely vanished, I realised there was more to life than gaming and internet and started going out. Now a year later I'd consider myself an extrovert.

Why don't you work out and why doesn't your body look as good as mine? If you do and it does, good for you.

Reading through this thread makes me realise how pathetic a lot of these people are. How sad
-
Lol. While your making your body look good other people who are doctors are saving lives. Frickin idiotic thug lol.
-
Who do you sponsor for?
-
Oh and most people who work out in the gym and get ripped are weaklings. I've beat a "strong guy" up and so have many other people I know. We don't go to the gym.
-
Lol "be more confident". Clearly the only reason you work out to be more confident is coz you have a 1 inch wonder for a penis
-
your probably the type of person who thinks 'survival of the fittest' is about physical attributes... the mind is 10x stronger then the body can ever be. btw, Socrates was fat and wasn't talking about being "in great shape".
-
Verbatim please go lmao. Sad misanthropic loser.
-
Do you even lift bro?
-
This thread reminds me why I wish death upon people so regularly...
-
My garage is a gym so I never have to leave my house.
-
I am pretty fit myself (as I do Parkour/Freerunning regularly and had been a gymnast and a high-level hockey player for quite some time), I still don't agree with what you're saying. My point of view, is this: I don't think humans were meant to be physically adept. If we were, we'd be the superior species on the planet from a physical standpoint. We are the superior species, but no based on physical condition. What makes us dominant, is our intellect. So instead of, I don't know, wasting your time at the gym, it might be better to sharpen your mind with more and more knowledge. Don't get me wrong, doing physical activities are great fun, but I don't think if you aren't physically adept than you're "doing it wrong". Mind>body. Just my two cents.
-
Average height and near the top of the safe body mass index for my size. Still get it in. I have no need to be fast or strong my life is centered around computers. It's what I'm doing with the rest of my life.
brb strong as hell brb in great shape brb working out inspired me to keep a healthy diet brb stand out from the crowd brb respect from guys, girls wanting my body brb much more confident
Just don't come back, noone cares.

They didn't have gyms in Socrates' time and you don't need one to be in shape.
-
I don't gym but I do work out at least 5 times a week.
-
If you have a lot of money, you tend not to need the gym to pull girls. OP, you are a peasant to me
-
Indeed, however, protein supplements are one thing I consider of no naturalism, no matter what others say.
-
you've sold me! but how can I order my new BowFlex when you didn't give me the number?
-
People still respond to this crap seriously?
-
I go to the gym every other day and my fan fiction is still fantastic. So why don't you fan fiction?
-
A gym? What's a gym? Tell me Connor, why would I pay to work out in a sweaty, air conditioned room when I have everything I need to work out in the garage at home and use it daily?
Taken today.
OP why are your pants falling...

Time enjoyed is not time wasted. Hence the term "A good time". If I enjoy avoiding Gym memberships because of the brick heads and walruses that gather there, then I am not wasting my time.

Just took a look at the pictures - People who make these threads are usually skinny to begin with, there are some of us who need to lose the extra fat first. D:

Edited by challengerX: 7/19/2013 9:21:50 AMOn the contrary, those that go to the gym are missing out. Swimming, biking and running on mountainous terrain in cold and hot weather is much more healthy and builds serious physical as well as mental endurance. Besides, what is the use of large and bulky muscles? You can't fight properly, they make you heavier than you should be and aren't flexible enough to use them for anything other than picking up heavy things.
